PLEASE REMEMBER THESE ST. MARY’S PARISHIONERS IN YOUR PRAYERS

Pre-School thru 2nd grade Children’s Liturgy / 11AM Mass

In Children’s Liturgy of the Word we shared with the children that in today’s Gospel, John the Baptist says “I am the voice of one crying out in the desert, make straight the way of the Lord.” John 1:23 We told the children that John is making sure that everyone is ready to welcome the Lord, that there are no obsta-cles or things in the way. We also shared with them that some-times our path toward Christmas can get a little crooked. At times we place too much importance on the gifts or parties than on the real reason for this celebration. John reminds us that the best, most cherished gift is not the presents under your Christ-mas tree or the parties your friends or families are having. Ra-ther, it is the gift of God, who loves us so much that He came to us in the form of a humble human being.

This Wednesday, December 20th at 6:15 p.m. is the Religious Education Family Christmas Dinner. Thank you to Sobie Meats for giving us a big discount on the food and to the Knights of Columbus for preparing the meal. We will not have Religious Education on Wednesday, Decem-ber 27th. Religious Education classes will resume on Wednes-day, January 3rd. We will not have Children's Liturgy of the Word on Sundays, December 24th and 31st. Children's Liturgy of the Word will resume on Sunday, January 7th. I pray that during the holy season of Christmas, God will wrap His arms around your family and fill your lives with love and happiness.

BISHOP DAVID J. WALKOWIAK ASKS US TO PRAY FOR OUR SEMINARIANS

Loving God, raise up dedicated leaders who will shepherd your people and guide them to your Son. Give generous and willing hearts to the seminarians of our Diocese who have heard your call to live a life of service to the Church. Help us to encourage and support them as they strive to become priests who are models of discipleship, possessors of wisdom and on fire with love for your people. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. We especially pray for: Noah Thelen
