BISHOP DAVID J. WALKOWIAK ASKS US TO PRAY FOR OUR SEMINARIANS

Loving God, raise up dedicated leaders who will shepherd your people and guide them to your Son. Give generous and willing hearts to the seminarians of our Diocese who have heard your call to live a life of service to the Church. Help us to encourage and support them as they strive to become priests who are models of discipleship, possessors of wisdom and on fire with love for your people. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. We especially pray for: Johnathan Johnson

Pre-School thru 2nd grade Children’s Liturgy / 11AM Mass Today in Children’s Liturgy of the Word we shared with the children that miracle stories such as the one in today’s Gospel communicate a most important truth about Jesus. Wherever Jesus is present, there is peace. Jesus wants to free us from the things or the feelings that are not good for us. We asked the children: What’s your enemy? What habit, what sin drains you of energy and leaves you feeling insecure and afraid? We then told the children that whatever it is, it cannot withstand the authority and power of Jesus Christ. When your attention is on Jesus, these bad things don’t seem so fearsome, don’t seem so strong. In Jesus, you are bold and strong, and these enemies are small and insignificant compared to Christ.
