DIVINE MERCY SHRINE, Stockbridge, MA

Last year’s trip to the Divine Mercy Shrine in Stockbridge,

Massachusetts was very spiritually rewarding. We are

planning to visit again on Thursday, August 2, leaving

at 8:30 a.m. from St. Paul’s. There will be time to visit the

Shrine gift shop. Services at the Shrine begin with

adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 1 to 2,

Benediction and confessions, mass at 2 p.m., and the

Chaplet of the Divine Mercy at 3 p.m. We are planning to

rent a 12-passenger van. The cost per person is about $35,

and a check must be made out to St. Paul’s and sent to Eva

Schmidt at St. Paul’s by Friday, July 27, to reserve a

seat. No refunds once you sign up—any remainder will go

to St. Paul’s. We plan to leave the shrine around 4

p.m. and go to the Lee shopping outlet for dinner. Return

to Binghamton about 8 p.m. Any questions? Call Tom

Crandell, 722-1785.

YOUNG ADULTS - (ages 18-39) are invited to join us on

June 21st at Galaxy Brewing Company, 7PM, for free food,

FAMILY PERSPECTIVE… Parenting is a

lot like the story of the farmer in the gospel

parable today. All growth is the Lord’s work.

We have no control over the process. In fact,

the farmer does not even understand it, for

the seed grows even when he sleeps. As

parents, we can influence our children but

nothing we do can guarantee results.
