You shall love the Lord your God, with all your heart, with all your soul,

and with all your mind. —Matthew 22:37

LIVING JUSTLY “You give that back right now!” How many of us have heard that line, probably more than once, as we were growing up? We come home with the trophy of what we thought was a really sweet deal, only to have our parents undo our profits by making us return the spoils. They had a different idea of what constituted a “fair trade agreement.” Justice in our dealings with others continues to be an important measure of our character, and like a good parent, God cares very much about how we treat each other and about how others treat us. God hears the cry of the poor, and answers the call of the oppressed. God’s beloved children are not to behave like bullies. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

    YOUTH CANDIDATES FOR CONFIRMATION

Please remember the young men and women of our parish, who are on retreat this weekend, October 23-25, praying that

they may fully recognize the love of Christ Jesus in their lives, as they continue their journey of faith toward the celebration of their Confirmation.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults R.C.I.A. is the process by which adults enter the Catholic Church.

Considering becoming Catholic? Are you searching for….

    • A deeper relationship with God? • A sense of belonging in a faith community? • A greater fulfillment of your mission in life?

“Inquiry” is the first step in the RCIA process: a ministry that welcomes those who would like to explore IF full membership in the Catholic Church, through Baptism or a Profession of Faith, Confirmation, and Eucharist is God’s call in your life.

This process is a spiritual journey, led by the Holy Spirit, which can lead to Full Initiation into the Catholic Church through Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. It is also a way to learn more about the Catholic Faith. One of the goals is to develop a personal relationship with God, accomplished through prayer, scripture and worship.

We meet in the Parish Courtyard at 7pm on most Tuesday evenings. The topic for October 27 is “Mary and the Saints.” If you find this topic to be something you would like to examine, everyone is welcome to join us any Tuesday.

    SUPPORT OUR WORLD MISSION SUNDAY

Our second collection today is for “World Mission Sunday”. We celebrate this day by remembering our baptismal call-to bring the Gospel to all! The collection today for the Society for the Propagation of the Faith supports the work and witness of the Mission Church, as it provides for priests, religious and lay leaders who offer the Lord’s mercy and concrete help to the most vulnerable communities in the Pope’s missions.

    Thank you for your Generosity.
