Dear Parishioners,
Thank you to all parishioners who participated in the Pastoral Council Event during First Sunday Fellowship on January
7, 2018, where we asked the question, “Please tell us one thing St. Joseph’s can do to make our parish even better!”
St Joseph’s Pastoral Council is an advisory group for our Pastor. Our role includes understanding matters brought to our
attention, considering them thoroughly and presenting ideas to Fr. Winchel for consideration.
Each comment/suggestion/idea has been carefully read and categorized into overall themes such as youth, communica-
tion, religious education, music, fundraising, social and community outreach programs and the use and upkeep of our
beautiful church building. In addition to suggestions, there were a number of comments highlighting support for the
many ministries and programs we are blessed to have at St Joseph’s Church.
All these ideas will help the council make progress on our three main goals for 2018:
1. Help active parishioners grow spiritually.
2. Welcome less active parishioners and visitors and help them grow spiritually.
3. Achieve financial stability.
Once again, thank you so much for your participation! Please join us again for First Sunday Fellowship on May 6, 2018.
We want to get to know you better so that we can serve you better!
On behalf of the Pastoral Council,
Kathryn McCannon, Council President
Matt McKenna, Vice-President; Penni Zimmerman, Secretary; Alex Porto; Lisa Carter; Billy Shackleford;
Ceres Samonte.

"rosarium", meaning a bouquet or garland of roses. On Palm
Sunday, March 25, following the 12:10 p.m. Latin Mass, we
will pray the Mysteria Dolorosa (Sorrowful Mysteries) of the
Latin Rosary for the protection of life. Illustrated booklets will
