Observances for the Week of
March 05, 2017
Dear Jesus,
Lent is here. I believe this will be a good time to make not
only a Lenten resolution, but a commitment of love to You.
It is the very least I can do after You gave Your life up for
me in the most painful, humiliating way possible. I love
You so much and I want to show my love for You by
spending one hour each week with you in Adoration on
Tuesdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at St.
Daniel the Prophet. Jesus, You are my best friend. Please
forgive all of the Tuesdays I have
neglected You. I realize that You have heard all of the
excuses and I promise to put You first in my life. You are
never too busy for me, never put me on “hold”. You are
always with me.
With all my love,
Your friend at St. Daniel the Prophet.
PLEASE CALL Linda Clark AT 480-372-6910 TO SCHEDULE
YOUR HOUR.
IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE
JUST AS IT CHANGED MINE.

"espera". Siempre estás conmigo.
Con todo mi amor,
Tu amigo en San Daniel, el Profeta.
Por favor llame a Linda Clark al (480)372-6910 para
programar su hora de adoración. Esto cambiará su vida.

LEAVING EGYPT BEHIND: A Series of Lenten Reflections
Fr. David Loeffler
“Let my people go!” You have probably heard about Moses and Pharaoh; how God set his people free. Do you know what happened next? They spent a long time in the desert wandering, on a journey much like ours. God is still setting us free, and this Lent is our time in the desert. How will your faith be renewed? How might God reach into your heart? Join Fr. Loeffler for a series of Lenten reflections:
Leaving Egypt Behind. Tuesdays: March 7, 14, 21 and April 4.
7:30PM in the Church.

We invite you to be a part of our Lenten Endow Group! “On the Christian Meaning of Suffering” Salvifici Doloris
Starting March 18
Endow is a Catholic educational program that brings women together to discover their God-given dignity and to understand their role in humanizing and transforming society. Endow helps women from all walks of life discover their God-given dignity and femininity through the richness and authenticity of Catholic teaching. When we as women grow in understanding the teachings of the Church and in the truth of Jesus Christ, our faith becomes more fully defined, and so does our transforming influence in the family, the community, and society as a whole. If you’re looking to enrich your life, or just want to join a quality women’s book club that provides content-rich material, Endow is for you! This Lent we will be diving into On the Christian Meaning of Suffering (Salvifici Doloris)! This wonderful work answers one of humanity’s most vexing questions, how to make sense of suffering. In this 1984 apostolic letter, the Pope explains that it is only in Christ that we can hope to find meaning and purpose in our sufferings. As one intimately identified with the sick and the suffering, John Paul II knows and discusses with us the various ways we experience this painful human condition. Far from depressing, this letter is tinged with joy and hope and leaves the reader with a lighter heart and a peaceful sense of being cared for even in the most trying circumstances. WHEN: Saturdays 9:00- 10:30am (for eight to ten weeks)
WHERE: SDTP South Annex Room
HOW: Register at endowgroups.org (program cost is $29)
WHY: Because you will love it!
We will not meet on the same Saturdays as Women’s Sodality, so that women can attend both groups. No homework is required.
To learn more about our group, starting on March 18, here at St. Daniel the Prophet Parish, please call Rebecca Knoell at 602-717-3586 or
