Welcome, Father John Large
My childhood was in the Logan section of North Philadelphia where I attended grade school at Holy Child and went to Cardinal Dougherty High School. I attended St. Charles Seminary and Villanova University and was ordained a priest in 1975. My previous assignments were St. Robert Bellarmine in Chester, St. Ambrose in Philadelphia, and St. Gabriel in Norwood. I taught at Roman and West Catholic High Schools and then pastored at Mater Dolorosa in Frankford, St. Joan of Arc in Harrowgate and St. Paul/St. Mary in South Philadelphia. I have done many kinds of bereavement retreats at Mother Katherine Drexel in Bensalem and recovery retreats locally and along the East coast. My volunteer work includes the Delaware County Chapter of “Parents of Murdered Children”, and visiting patients at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Hunting Park. I am grateful to be assigned to St. Anselm Parish. Father Rossi has been very welcoming and hospitable. God bless you all! +Father Large

Saint Anselm School Swap Shop
July 26th St. Anselm School offers a Swap Shop for used uniforms. Parents can drop off uniforms their children have outgrown and can pick up used uniforms to be reused. You are not required to drop off uniforms in order to pick up uniforms. The Swap Shop will be held in the school yard from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Sunday, July 26th.
