‘Lock You Up Where You Belong’

We’re trying to address a large backlog of songs that were written over the years but which we haven’t had a chance to record. At the end of 2018 we were looking at this song which was written in September 2011. The title of the song was what caught our attention the most ‘Lock you up where you belong’ in particular because one can’t help but read current headlines where various people want to lock someone or other up these days!

With a title like this you would be right to suspect that the theme involves law and order of some sort. That is why we almost have to apologise for what we feel is one of our more ‘catchy’ chorus songs when the lyrics are quite serious. The inspiration is from our own personal reality. We have suffered through having some rather unsavoury characters living in close proximity to us and it has an effect on you. For those of you who have had to live near people whose lives are built around criminal activity you will know what we are talking about. It impacts every aspect of your daily life. Their 24/7 activities, their aggression and their paranoia.

Not wanting to go into those years in detail we feel that this song is a form of compensation for what we were put through and with a smile on our faces we are trusting that some day these people and their like will be dealt with by ‘Justitia’ aka Lady Justice.
