Disclaimer

Slips and Falls

•Falls are the most common source of industrial

injuries

•Sprains and moderate injuries are common

•Death is possible for long falls

Walking and Working Surfaces

•Proper housekeeping can minimize some risks

•Weather can change surfaces

•Awareness and visibility needed at all times

•Never place a ladder on an uneven surface

•Keep 3 points of contact on stairs and ladders

Footwear

•Steel toes on location at all times

•Durable sole with remaining tread

•Clear mud from tread

•Oil or chemical resistant soles

•High ankle support

Fall Protection

•Above 4 feet fall protection is required

• If no guardrail a PFAS is needed

• (Personal Fall Arrest System)

• Inspect all slings and harnesses before each use

•Do not use if any component is damaged
