4. FIRST -AID MEASURES IInhalation: Not likely to be inhaled due to physical form. For processing fume inhalation irritation, leavecontaminated area and breathe fresh air. lfcoughing, difficult breathing or any other symptoms devel6p, getmedical attention. I
Ingestion: Nota likelyrouteofexposure
Skin contact: If contact with molten prod uct occu rs, treat as forthermal bu rn. Do not try to peel moltenpolymer from the skin. Get medical attention promptly. IEye contact : If contact with molten product occurs, remove contact lenses at once. Immediately flush eyeswith large quantities of water for at least 15minutes. Get medical attention.
Suitable extinguishing media Use that which is appropriate for the surrounding fire.
Notes to Physician: Treat symptomatically.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Flammable properties Non-flammable
Unsuitable extinguishing media Nil
Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazard Fluorocarbon polymers are non-flammable in air and will notpropagate flame. However under high temperature they can yieldtoxic particles, fumes and gases. In case of fire, escape to thewindward.

Special Hazard Information
No acute and chronic hazard under recommended conditions ofstorage and handling,
Unlikely to be hazardous by inhalation unless heated. The fumesproduced when heated at high temperature are toxic. Exposurel tothermodegradation products may cause influenza-like symptom!
No hazardous under recommended condition of handling
No hazardous under recommended condition of handling. Moltenmaterial can cause severe burns
Not identified
Unheated fluorocarbon polymer product is inert, and there are rioknown instances of health hazard, when handling the unheatedproduct. When heated at high temperature, it will thermally degrade, decompose and producetoxicfumes. Inhalation of such fumes willcause "Polymer Fume Fever", which has symptoms very similar toinfluenza and can include headache, cough, fever, chills, chestdiscomfort. The symptoms do not occur until several hours afterexposure and may pass within 36 to 48 hours, even in absence oftreatment.
