In April, Safe TV® pre-sented a three night in-spirational event entitled “God’s 3 Greatest Gifts” featuring several well- known ministry speakers: Monte Church, Director of Native Ministries NW and Storyteller of the Na-tive New Day series; Dwight Nelson, Senior Pastor at Andrews Uni-versity and speaker of New Perceptions; and Lonnie Melashenko, Vice President of Global Missions at Kettering Health Center and former

speaker of the Voice of Prophecy. Carlos Pardeiro, Presi-dent/CEO of Safe TV®, hosted the special event that presented God’s gifts of Creation, Salvation and Redemption culminating in the Second Coming of Christ. Each evening, the speakers shared truths from the Bible on each of these topics.

‘Tis the Season

In April, Carlos Pardeiro, President/CEO of Safe TV®, and Monte Church, Storyteller of Native New Day, went to Alaska, perhaps the last American frontier, to share the gos-pel of Christ with the Inuit and Eskimo people in the vil-lages of Savoonga and Gambell located on St. Lawrence Island. From Gambell, they could see about 38 miles across the ocean into Siberia. Carlos and Monte were privileged to see people’s lives changed as they embraced the hope and the gift of our Lord and Savior, Jesus, through word and song. Carlos enjoyed seeing the reaction from those who attended the meetings as he played his synthesized classical guitar making it sound like a bagpipe, pipe organ, banjo and full chamber orchestra. While visiting, Carlos and Monte were amazed to see a polar bear skin hanging out to dry. The bear was shot when it threatened the residents in the village. Using a satellite computer, one of the local pastors pulled up Safe TV® which came in loud and clear. One of Carlos’ most memorable mo-ments was when Monte sur-prised him by arranging for him to go on a dogsled ride. Their Alaska trip brought an appreciation for the mission-aries who risked their lives to bring the Gospel to this al-most forgotten land. Remem-ber the Alaskans in prayer.

In 2007, Safe TV® received a letter from the grandpar-ents of a young boy named Andrew. The letter explained how impressed Andrew was with Monte Church and the Native New Day series. He would listen attentively to the programs and would play outside making his own campsite and pretending he was Monte. The grandparents requested a chance to have Andrew meet Monte if he was in the Ar-kansas or Missouri area. When Monte came to speak in the God’s 3 Greatest Gifts event, Andrew and his family traveled from Missouri to spend Sabbath visiting with Monte at the Springdale Sev-enth-day Adventist Church. Satan tried to ruin the visit by causing mis-haps of a busted car window and an emergency trip to the hospital, but little Andrew’s faith remained strong. During the question and answer period of God’s 3 Greatest Gifts, An-drew called in to have Monte answer his insightful question. What a blessing children are when they share their love of God in their own unique ways.

Andrew finally got to meet Monte Church

Producer/Director Carlos Pardeiro and Assistant Producer/Director Ryan Pardeiro received an Emmy® nomination from the National Academy for Television Arts & Sciences for the Native New Day program entitled “To Heal a Wounded Heart”. This episode is all about forgiveness and was filmed at the historical cemetery at Wounded Knee, South Dakota. This was the fourth Emmy® nomination for Native New Day. Two more episodes of Native New Day have now been filmed. “God’s Totem Pole”, filmed in Alaska, uses Na-tive People’s totem poles to illustrate Biblical King Nebu-chadnezzar’s dream of a golden image. Totem poles tell stories and record historical events just as Nebuchadnez-zar’s Bible image represented future earthly kingdoms. “Native Prosperity” was filmed in Texas and explains how God wants everyone to prosper in their lives beyond just material riches. If we follow God’s guidelines found in the Bible, we can have successful, fulfilling, enriched and happy lives.
