Welcome! Today we are launching the JD Edwards Integration Platform! No, it’s not a new product, there is no new “code” associated with this launch…..but not to worry! I think you will like what you hear and see, and will understand how to use our Integration Platform to your advantage.

This is a launch that focuses on bringing the right level of understanding and attention to an impressive solution that is currently available today to every JD Edwards customer – our integration platform. You can broaden your influence with your prospects and customers when you expose them to just how powerful this solution is.

In out time together today, I will be sharing with you a fresh way of viewing, positioning and leveraging the great integration platform that already exist – and doing it in a way to help you win business, improve upgrade cycles and battle FUD that is always present in our competitive world!

We will get into the meat of the launch and what it means to you shortly, but let’s talk about WHY we are doing this “launch” in the first place to give it some perspective….

We that have been around the JD Edwards eco system for a long time often fall into the trap of taking so many of the core JDE attributes and features that have enormous value for granted….and we thus sometimes (even frequently) fail to use these features to our competitive advantage and to our customers best benefit. There is good reason that think that our diverse set of tools for integrating with other solutions falls squarely into this category. The launch is designed to help us bring it to the forefront of our awareness one of our many strengths and to help us position JD Edwards to win deals …… against other on premise solutions and with outside competitive cloud applications (ERP and or niche).

1. We hear from the eco system that JD Edwards doesn’t integrate with others…..and it’s just not true. We aim to educate on the great integration platform that every customer and partner can leverage

2. Fusion Applications – we are entering the time wherein the interest in our ability to co-exist with more Fusion cloud applications is growing. We want our customers to be able to easily add complimentary functionality via Oracle Fusion Cloud apps. It is therefore important that our eco system, customers and prospects understand that we provide a full array of modern integration tools and technologies to enable this co-existence.

3. JD Edwards’s 3 tier architecture, combined with the leverage we can get for up taking Oracle technology (in this case integration technologies)……has allowed us to rapidly deliver new modern techniques for interacting with JD Edwards core ERP and Industry solutions. IoT and Mobility can (and should be viewed) as new integration paradigms, and EnterpriseOne rapidly established a wide mobile applications and our customer and partners are already leverage JDE existing integration tools to integration M2M (IoT), and our advanced labs are heavily engaged in proto typing IoT solutions and our roadmap reflects our direction to do more.

4. Shift aware from AIA & PIPs----reset eco system awareness and expectation…moving away from that to open/standards based integration platform.

By combining the above concepts into clear messages and strong positioning, we seek to arm you with better tools for winning more business….it’s all about the money

Don’t make integrations appear as an after thought in a deal….don’t jump to introduce additional products and services that drive up the deal/service or TCO as TCO is JDE unique and proven market differentiation from other Tier One ERP solutions! Use what we have to our mutual advantage…..if you deliver integrations using our core stuff…make a point of acknowledging that (Bath loads, BssV, RTE, etc. that you leverage in value add integrated solutions are part of the core JDE value prop that needs to be exploited to win business!

6

Page 7: Safe Harbor Front - Oracle...there are slides that show the JD Edwards integrated product footprints to support our focus industries. You are encouraged to select You are encouraged

Looking more deeply at the why we are focusing on our marketing and position of our integration solutions….there are 4 good reasons…..

1. We know we need to stress to customers & prospects the value that customers get from a rich and industry deep solution set that is engineered to work together. We offer more than 80 product modules that all work together to support business process flows, and there are thousands of these “native touch points”

1. Translates in to massive reduction in the need to integrate point solutions that other less mature or focused vendors might require to have a solution on par with EnterpriseOne

1. Applications that are designed to work together from the ground up provide a huge jump start for customers over the approaching of stringing together multiple point solutions, and the effort and cost that goes into initial integrations as well as on-going maintenance and support of disparate systems

2. DO NOT MISS THE OPPORTUNIT TO SPEAK TO THIS WHEN YOU ARE IN A SUB-VERTICLE WHEREIN SAP, MICROSOFT, INFOR, ETC. REQUIRE MULTIPLE BUSINESS PARTNERS TO AMASS A COMPELTE INDUSTRY SOLUTION

2. Differentiation: Who among our competitors delivers such a broad, open, standards base set of integration technologies as part of the foundation. Add to that the robust content we provide at no additional cost (APIs, RTEs, BSSVs, EDI, SOA Suite Integration, and batch processes, etc. And Our robust integration platform covers the gamut in providing the right tools for delivering integrations…..we have the right tool for the task, and even if a customer selects to use an integration middleware component on top of our platform, the fact that we deliver and support open and standards based integration technology enables this without extra cost to customers.

1. If you are competing against a niche cloud solution, or niche on premise ERP or point solution, they are not likely to have a robust integration platform, and will lack a robust content offering and customers bare the cost of potentially support multiple integration products, cost of developing their on BSSVs, etc.

3. The JD Edwards 3 tier architecture should also be position as a competitive advantage as when new integration technologies come on the scene, we are able to adopt them rapidly into the platform with out business and applications disruption, etc. Talk about future proofing the ERP…..investment for today and tomorrow.

4. As Oracle Cloud applications become more mature and more widely accepted in the market place, our customers and prospects will want to reap the benefits of a co-existence strategy with Oracle Apps Unlimited. There are JD Edwards delivered business interfaces available today to some of the Fusion Cloud applications, and going forward we expect to have more and we absolutely will be counting on the JD Edwards eco system to help us address the need to integration Oracle Cloud Applications with JDE as part of your business. Providing easy and cost effective integration to Oracle Cloud Apps will be paramount to ensuring JD Edwards, our customer’s and your success. The launch messaging and materials will help you address effectively communicate our integration solutions, and our future direction.

It is worth noting that JD Edwards publishes the data models for our most widely deployed applications as part of our approach to assisting the eco system with developing integrations. It’s this level of detail information that assist in mapping data item to data item across disparate applications. CAUTION that competitors may tell your prospects/customers that JDE does not provide these and you should proactively inform customers that we do publish these. (there was a number of years wherein the published data models were out of date. They have been updated to reflect 9.1 modules/functions).

The technical Catalog provides graphical process flows to assist customers in understanding data flows within JDE and is useful to customers needing to integrate outside systems.

In addition the catalog provides the details for all of our available (reusable) business interfaces…..batch processes, RTEs, BSSVs, etc. and can be positioned during the says cycle as tools customers get - we enable customer to integrate!

This story demonstrates how the JD Edwards Integration Platform evolved with the customers business and integration needs. They originally integrated to a 3rd party eCommers soluction using JDE batch processes. They then replaced that eCommerce solution with another 3rd party eCommerce and once again they leverage the batch process method of integration.

In their last advancement, they implemented Oracle’s ATG eCommerce solution and replaced batch processes with real time processing enabled with JD Edwards Business Services.

14

And the Dutch Valley story is another good example of a customers leveraging JD Edwards Business Services to integration to a 3rd party ecommerce web.

Each of these stories are examples of partners and customers using our Integration Platform to integrate to other on-premise solutions.

So now let’s look at a couple that highlight JD Edwards and Oracle Cloud applications working together.

Our business partner MASYC Group is assisting the lartest N. Am privately held home builder Mattamy Homes to implement JD Edwards with Oracle Sales Cloud, Oracle Marketing and Social Cloud solutions.

Not only did they use integration components provided by JD Edwards, they have developed within E1 an integration middleware layer that further enhances the integration solution. By use E1 development tools to build this added layer, the skills needed to support E1 applications are also the same skill sets needed to support the integration middleware layer, which provides a great value and TCO for the customer(s).

Planned go-live fall 2015. 200 cloud users…..

Our Business Partner Denovo assisted Still Water Mining Company with implementing the Business Interfaces between JD Edwards with Oracle Taleo Recruiting Solutions. Denovo used the Oracle JD Edwards delivered Business Interfaces with very little modifications and were able to have the customer live with the integrations in a very short period of time. The customer is very happy with the partner’s services and the solution.

Project Timeframe – 6/10/13 – 8/1/13

Timeline for Integration deployment – one week

Avg. Monthly Requisitions – 60

Number of employees using the system – 275

JD Edwards Footprint:

• Release – EnterpriseOne 8.12

• Taleo Talent Management with the JD Edwards Integration adapter from Denovo.

Project Background and Details:

Stillwater Mining purchased eRecruit from Oracle a number of years ago. In 2008, the metals market took a decline and all IT projects came to a halt. When the market started to come back around, the Taleo product was now owned by Oracle and it made sense for Stillwater Mining to turn the future of their HR hiring to the Taleo product. At Collaborate 2013, they attended a presentation by Denovo who had built the adapter for the integration between Taleo and JD Edwards. It was clear that Stillwater mining would look to Denovo to help them complete this project.

With JD Edwards as the system of record, they were finding it extremely difficult to maintain data in two systems. This created redundancy and was a strain on their employees. Simple things like auto emailing out information to candidates was not possible before Taleo. They were looking for a system that could accurately track candidate history and reduce redundancy of data entry. Prior to Taleo, Stillwater Mining used People Track for their recruiting efforts. One of their users had used Taleo at a previous employer and raved about it.

Stillwater Mining loved working with Denovo. Their consultants were great to work with and very adaptive to their needs. The integration was extremely close to out-of-the-box with limited mods. The differentiator was Denovo’s expertise to put us in the driver’s seat and show us how to be self-sufficient. Simple things like adding pick lists were difficult before. Since they’ve gone live, they had a user call up and make a request for a new pick list and they were able to get it added to the system right on the phone call.

Denovo was extremely responsive throughout the entire project and had the clients needs in mind. The timeline was very reasonable. They started in June and were Live on August 1st. Most of the timing was not because of Denovo, it was internal issues of system setup, user requirements, training, testing, etc.

Stillwater Mining had two major takeaways from this project:

1. The integration made things easier. Without it, we would have had full scale rebellion. Reporting issues, redundancy of data, etc. They are now getting reports out of JDE that are providing real value and have confidence in the data.

2. The transfer of knowledge that Denovo provided has allowed them to keep the system going. They are able to be self-sufficient and users are now hungry for more information. They love seeing the value from JDE and it is empowering their users to do their jobs more efficiently.

Grant Thornton assisted Renewable Energy Group with the implementation of JD Edwards, OTM and 2 3rd party solutions and the respective integrations. They leveraged many components of the JD Edwards Integration Platform. The integrations use Real Time Events, JDE BSSVs and the SOA Suite.

As you can see, the JD Edwards Integration Platform is a compelling tool for our partners and our customers. We provide the right tools for the task and we want you help customers get the most value possible from the tools and technologies that they own when they become a JD Edwards customer.

--------------------------------

using RTE and BSSV to process transactions in and out of JDE between OTM and Eka (Risk Management). OTM schedules the shipments in and out – both POs coming in and sales going out. Eka tracks all of their contracts. They’re using SOA to integrate BSSV with OTM and Eka. Changes in E1 kick off an RTE, which gets sent to BSSV, which sends it on to SOA, and then to the appropriate 3rd party app.

While JD Edwards has an outstanding Integration Platform today, there is always the “next” technology and we are committed to advancing our technologies to keep pace. So let’s take a few minutes to look at what it means to have a modern architecture and what’s in our future.

19

Page 20: Safe Harbor Front - Oracle...there are slides that show the JD Edwards integrated product footprints to support our focus industries. You are encouraged to select You are encouraged

JD Edwards benefits from much of Oracle R&D that happen in teams outside of the JD Edwards Development department. One of the latest technologies we have embraced and have embedded within the JD Edwards tech stack is Oracle AIS – Oracle Application Integration Services. AIS are industry standard RESTFUL Web Services. It is the technology that enabled us to deliver 81 mobile applications in less than a year.

AIS is the modern approach to developing mobile applications, and lightweight, role specific applications using E1 or other development tools. These appls use RESTFUL Business Services to call standard E1 Application Business Logic – and basically by pass the need to develop E1 Business Services for low volume interactions. This new technology and integration approach will dramatically change the way many applications are developed and integrate with E1.

Currently in E1 AIS is available for MAF, but we plan to deliver support within ADF/JavaScript and .Net in the not to distant future.

Adf/java are the same set of Apis and are not currently available but will be soon. Future is JavaScript and .net.

20

Page 21: Safe Harbor Front - Oracle...there are slides that show the JD Edwards integrated product footprints to support our focus industries. You are encouraged to select You are encouraged

Another area wherein we are investing is the JD Edwards IoT Platform. Our plans include delivery of an IoT Foundation component and then a set of IoT Industry specific applications. The goal is to provide a foundation first and then a set of apps as examples based on industry specific use cases. Customers and partners will be able to leverage the foundation and can extend with their own value add applications.

While pricing is not yet final, we anticipate that there will be a price associated with the Foundation and IoT users/transactions.

21

Page 22: Safe Harbor Front - Oracle...there are slides that show the JD Edwards integrated product footprints to support our focus industries. You are encouraged to select You are encouraged

One of the hot topics of course is Cloud applications, and how can JD Edwards customers take advantage of Oracle (or other provider’s) Cloud applications. The answer is via a co-existence strategy. Many JD Edwards customers are already using JDE along side Cloud appellations and many more will going forward.

What is great news for our customers is that JD Edwards Integration Platform is still the right answer and provide the tools and technologies and in some cases business interfaces that jump start integrating to Cloud Offerings. And over time we plan to provide more business interfaces to enable co-existence use cases.

What partners and customers must keep in mind however is that not every co-existence use case makes sense and thus we at JD Edwards will focus on those use cses that are logical and common in our customer base and for our target industries. It is not our mission to tackle enabling business interfaces that are in the category of “putting a square peg into a round hole!”

There will be lots of opportunities for partners to provide system integrator services as it relates to the co-existence strategy. We encourage you to also focus on those that make good sense and do not promote “un-natural” marriages between JD Edwards and Oracle Cloud applications which are likely to end with unhappy customers

22

Page 23: Safe Harbor Front - Oracle...there are slides that show the JD Edwards integrated product footprints to support our focus industries. You are encouraged to select You are encouraged

Oracle is investing in a new solution called “Oracle Integration Cloud Service”, and while it is not yet generally available, you should be aware of. The solution is a new cloud offering that provides a point and click style integration development platform. Customers and partners will be able to use it to rapidly modify and extend integrations that Oracle delivers, build new integrations between Oracle cloud solutions, Oracle cloud to on premise solutions and eventually even on premise to on premise applications. The solution is very compelling as it brings secure rapid integrations to our customers without the need to install and maintain the integration software.

Please be sure to watch for more information about how and when JD Edwards customers can take advantage of this new planned Oracle Cloud offering.

But it is important that you do NOT position or promise this to JD Edwards customers as there is no specific plan or target dates for using this planned Oracle Integration Cloud Service with JD Edwards. It is part of our vision, but we are a ways away from know if and/or when we might leverage this cloud solution.

23

JDE and Oracle Cloud…..co-existence! JD Edwards is completely aligned to Oracle’s strategy of using modern standards and integration techniques. We continuously uptake Oracle tools and technologies that allow us to deliver integration and integration enablement (SOA standards, BSSVs, ADF, AIS (more to come later). Note the * - Oracle cloud apps we current provide integration to and of course over time the list will grown as we add more as our customer demand dictates over time.

The fact of the matter is that we can integration to anything, and the deployment model really doesn’t matter as we provide the needed tools to integrate applications regardless of where they reside.

29

Page 30: Safe Harbor Front - Oracle...there are slides that show the JD Edwards integrated product footprints to support our focus industries. You are encouraged to select You are encouraged

JD Edwards 3 tier architecture has and continues to be a huge asset for us, our partners and our customers. The fact that our platform and tools layers are separate from the business application layers/logic allows us to quick uptake new Oracle and market relevant technologies without disrupting the business applications. A key example has been our ability to deliver Oracle AIS, and to rapidly build more than 80 mobile applications.

Given that new integration technologies will continue to evolve, you can position our 3 tier architecture as a proven platform for evolution and innovation. The message is that we have kept pace with changing integration technologies and we can provide the right tools for the task today and tomorrow.
