CFM

CFM is safe and economical digital microwave radio link system that provides wirelesspoint-to-point channels for digitized voice and data communications in both metropolitanand rural areas between sites up to 40 km apart. CFM radio in combination with anyof E1 Indoor Units provides excellent tool to provide PABX trunk connectivity, privatevoice networks, cellular networks and medium speed access to backbone networks ofproviders of data services. CFM is available with 4, 8 or 16 and 34 Mbps Full Duplextraffic capacity. In hands of professional user and installer CFM microwave radioprovides extremely high data channel quality, which is as high as good cooper or fibercable channels, characterizes by ultra low error rates and very high channel stability.

Typical installation site consists of following components: Indoor Unit (IDU), RadioUnit/Outdoor Unit (ODU), antenna, coaxial cable connecting IDU and the ODU and powersupply unit providing electric current for the equipment (mounted indoors). CFM productline offers saveral Indoor Units for various business requirements.

SAF Indoor Units with E1 interface provide traffic capacity from 4 to 34 Mbps FullDuplex. Indoor Units are designed for operation in conjunction with CFM Radio Units.This system is suitable for:• mobile network operators;• fixed network operators;• any use demanding E1 channels (for PBX connections, etc.) for internal

phone link creation and various other needs.

Indoor Units terminate full radio capacity into a number of E1 channels.4 Mbps 2xE1 Indoor Unit is compatible with CFM L4 Radio Unit. Other Indoor Units —8, 16 and 34 Mbps are compatible with CFM LM Radio Unit.

All Indoor Units consist of compact 1U high 230 mm deep 19" rack mountable unit andare accepting DC Power sources from 20 to 72 V. Outdoor and Indoor Units areinterconnected via single coaxial cable.

Management systemEvery IDU is build around intelligent management controller which hasfollowing management interfaces:• LCD display and control keypad,• Serial terminal port,• 10Base-T Ethernet port.

All the basic configuration and monitoring functions are available from LCD/keypadif local management is a concern.By connecting Indoor Unit to external data network (via serial port and modem orEthernet) SNMP and Web interfaces of management system are available.

Any Indoor Unit with E1 traffic interface feature a convenient and modern managementsystem, providing complete configuration and monitoring of the equipment eitherlocally or remotely.Optionally remote access to far-end terminal can be organized via telephone line byusing analog line modems on each site.
