SADYA is Vidya Sagar’s annual fundraising event; inviting fun filled professionals for an adventure challenge year on year. For business houses, SADYA is the ultimate team building HR activity. From scaling a 50-foot wall to rapid rappelling, tricky obstacle courses, blind folded tent pitching, Pythagoras and unusual water games, SADYA 2018 is where you will want to be! Founded in 1985 with just three children, today Vidya Sagar works with more than 3,800 people with disabilities in any given year. The focus of Vidya Sagar is the right to access and inclusion. Vidya Sagar runs several projects to ensure the rights of people with disabilities get met. Our projects range from Early Intervention to assisted living for adults. SADYA is an event which is managed and run by volunteers. And therefore all the funds raised through SADYA will be utilised for running the projects in Vidya Sagar.

Every year, this event provides an avenue for new people through participation to get to know Vidya Sagar better and to spend quality inclusive time with the people who make Vidya Sagar what it is. Participants will be able to enhance their leadership skills, ability to manage, teamwork, crisis management, time management, and conflict resolution. What makes SADYA 2018 more special?

Its the rolling adventure Sadya Trophy - made by Mr. Nandagopal. Mr. Nandagopal needs no introduction. He is an internationally renowned sculptor and was one of the driving forces behind Cholamandal Artist’s Village and the Madras Art Movement. Mr. Nandagopal was the recipient of the National Award, Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi in 1970 and 1978 and the Jindal Stainless Steel Award for Sculpture, 2002. In 1998 and 2000, he was nominated by the Government of India to serve as an adviser to the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi. Vidya Sagar’s association with him goes way backs a long way….. before the birth of SADYA. We had approached him to make a small trophy on the lines of our Logo, as the Rolling Trophy for the winning team for SADYA. Ten days later, what was presented to us was not just a trophy, but the most beautiful art piece, a metal four feet tall sculpture!! We were stunned and deliriously happy. What a trophy for SADYA and for the winning team! On April 14, 2017, Nandagopal suddenly passed away leaving a huge void on the art scene of our country. But his generosity and empathy will not be forgotten at Vidya Sagar. Nandagopal will live for long. We take this opportunity to pay respectful homage to Mr. Nandagopal for his association with Vidya Sagar and dedicate this Sadya to him.

Entry: •You field a team of 10 participants for a contribution of Rs 3 lakhs. All contributions have to be made in favour of “Vidya Sagar” and are tax exempt under Section 80G of the IT Act. •Your confirmation and contribution along with the list of participants should reach us by February 15th, 2018. •Post-confirmation, all teams are briefed in detail and given information hand books.
