LUKE 15 8 Either what woman having ten

pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep

the house, and seek diligently till she find [it]?

9 And when she hath found [it], she calleth [her] friends and [her]

neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece

which I had lost.

38 And sometimes when we setting in our seats and the Holy Spirit say, "You

must do this, or you must do that…" You got someone you won't speak to you;

you won't speak to them. You won't make it right. And you're just ashamed to go up and say, if you are in the wrong or what, if you're not in the wrong, to go up and say, "Brother, let's forget it and talk it

over." Jesus, when He looked up into the face of the Father, He said, "It's not My

not come to church to hear a good sermon, or come to church to hear good music. They all got their place, but what we better come to church to do is check up with God and our souls salvation,

for the day of redemption is near.


61 Oh, if there ever was a time that the church ought to take inventory to find out if you've got all the coins on, it

should be now. It's getting dark. The--the very haunts and clouds of destroying

civilization is hanging over the earth, sin and debauch on every hand. We're living

...people who go to church and profess Christianity and live like the rest of the

world, drinking, smoking, gambling; women immorally dressed, wearing clothes that they oughtn't to wear in

the--in their own dressing room, out on the streets before public. And brotherly

love is a thing that's passing, almost. We have not lost one coin, but we've lost practically every one of them.


And when her husband returned, he found that she had been marked, and he would divorce her immediately and

have nothing to do with such a woman. He did not want such a

woman.So it was getting along towards dark when she realized that she had lost something, time for her husband to

come, and it's getting late.


65 The church better be examining theirself by the Word of God, our purity, our loyalty, our devotion. We've become tattlers, tale-bearers,

cigarette smokers, backbiters, painted-up Jezebels, everything in the calendar

that the rest of the world does; the Christian church is associating in those things today till you can't hardly tell the one from the other. It's time we took

inventory. It's getting late.


Now, in order... It was so late till she had to light a candle. And she got a candle. Not only did she get a candle, but she got a broom and she went to house-

cleaning.Oh, brother, if there ever was a need of a

time of a lighting of a candle, the sending forth of the Gospel Light, the Holy Ghost back into the church... Not so much for emotion, not for some

fantastics, not for some emotional workup, not for a jump for joy, but for a heart-searching experience when men and women get right with God.

Right. We're at the end time.


There has got to be absolutely a union connection between you and Christ,

till you become one. You are one.

That kiss burns like a Judas' kiss.

You don't want nothing to do with her.

But what if those lips has kissed another man that day or some other

time?

No other arms must hold her but yours, and you know it.


82 That is husband and wife, which is type of Christ and His Church. And when you go to your church, you may have the best pews in the city; you may have the highest steeple there is in the city; you may have the best pipe organ; you may

dress the best; you may sing like a mockingbird; but all of that, if you're

kissing and flirting with the world, that kiss on the cheeks of Christ is a Judatarian kiss. He doesn't want

nothing to do with you. He looks upon your wedding engagement ring, and He finds the tablet moved; He finds love

has gone; it's a form.


He finds loyalty is gone. You've committed fornications with the world. You go to dances, and boogie-woogie parties, and watch old dirty television

programs. You are committing adultery with Christ, on Him, as

calling Him your Husband. The Bible said, "You say, 'I am rich, I have need of nothing.'" But He said, "You don't know that you are naked, miserable, blind,

poor, and don't know it." It's time we lit a candle and swept the house. The

coming of the Lord is at hand.


88 And, oh, bless your heart, the church is eat up with spiritual

venereal, of all kinds of isms and everything else. It's wrong. God, be merciful. Jesus is coming, friends. You ain't going to have time one of these

nights, or one of these days. You better check up now. I want to be a real true Christian. I want to be a real lover,

that when I go to my Lord and kneel on my knees, I want Him to embrace me in His arms, say, 'Oh, My lover.'"

She's the only one that can commit

adultery.

charge from God for redemption.

She's got characters that she must not defile. If she would mar them, she's defiled for lifetime. No matter how much she's forgiven, she can't be

justified. I'll strike that in a little bit. Got a Scripture on that in a few minutes. She can be forgiven for her defilement, but she cannot be justified in this life. It's

always with her. Notice, now, she's been given this. She may be forgiven but

not justified.

Her body is given to her a sacred trust

from God.

Her body is a bedding grounds of

life.


14-2 Notice. Now, she has a sacred trust of virtue that's been given to her,

trusted to her by the Lord. God gave her that virtue. Just as it was in the garden of Eden, she can say, "yes" or "no." She has a sacred trust of womanhood committed

to her that she must not break. The womanhood, I'm speaking of here, is her conduct, her character around men,

not letting every man...


14-4 Now, keep the church in mind. She's kissing, and slopping, and mixing around in everything else but the Word. Let the devil, and education, and scientific searches, and so forth...

When scientific education and everything is absolutely contrary to God.

The whole system of civilization that we have now, is absolutely antichrist;

educational system is antichrist; civilization is antichrist. It's against

God. You say against civilization? God will have a civilization one of these days that won't have any death associated into it.


And the church is just as bad. That's right. Committing adultery with

everything she has no business to be going into; she should stay with the

Word.

...have her character, raise her

children, be honorable to her

husband.

What a sacred trust, what a

responsibility to a woman.


Now, see why she is a type of the church, which has the same responsibility as a

woman has a sacred responsibility to her motherhood, to her virtues, to her

husband; the church has a sacred responsibility to prayer, and to the Word, and to Christ, just the same as

the woman has.


And as a woman drifts off with another man; when the church goes off on these

institutional programs, and building programs, and schools, and so forth... I have nothing against them. They're all

right. They serve their purpose. But they're not... Jesus never said, "Go, make

schools." He said, "Preach the Word." That's where they neglect it.

16-2 Not make institutions, hospitals, and so forth, them's all right. But that's not the church's duty. Their duty is

to preach the Gospel.


Now, that's what the church is also. It's in the same condition. She's a type. She has the same precious virtues by Spirit given to her to preserve the

Spirit and the Word and never commit adultery with anything of

the world or anything, stay virgin to the Word as a woman is to stay virtuous

to her husband. It's a sacred trust. To honor her Lord's Word above every

manmade creed, wisdom, denomination there is, the church is given that trust.


17-3 The complete total insanity this world will go into right away. It's almost

there now. Why, you can see the footsteps of it. There it is. It's--it's

marching right out on the street, right down the church pew: total

insanity, do things that a human being wouldn't think of doing and being

civilized.


Look what Hollywood's done to the woman. Look how it has--it's robbed the sacred virtues of the woman. On and

on we could go. See, all this she lost. How did she do it? Because there was

a subtle instrument called the church, like there was in the garden

of Eden. A subtle person, the devil, walked into the church just like he did in the garden of Eden and deceived her into

it.
