All envelopes for Christmas Flower intentions will be kept on the altar throughout the Christmas Season beginning December 24th.

Thank you so much for your continued support. We have been working to help those in need during the pandemic. We are asking for help with food. The following items are

most needed at present and would be appreciated. Please leave them at the back of the church. Cereals (especially sweet ones), grape jelly or strawberry preserves, pasta sauce, elbow pasta, spaghetti, penne, rice, canned pasta, canned fruit (especially peaches or fruit cocktail), peanut butter, canned corn, apple juice or fruit punch, canned hash, chili, and beef stew. Thank you for your help as always. Please consider putting us on your Christmas list. Donations can be mailed to the rectory at St Vincent de Paul 297 Main St. Malden or placed in a clearly marked envelope in the collection. The need for food, clothing, and heating are great this winter. Your donation allows you to stand with us as we see Christ in each person we help. No donation is too small and will help. Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. - Matthew 25:40

We know this story so well it is a good example of perseverance. The Magi were determined to follow the star—”overjoyed at seeing the star… and on entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother… and did him homage.” Our culture urges us to follow a lot of “stars” these days: sports stars, rock stars, movie stars, stars famous for any number of reasons. But the question is, do they lead us to Christ? Maybe it’s time to take a lesson from the Magi and look for Christ. These other “stars” will come and go but Jesus Christ will never leave us!

Sabemos muy bien que esta esta historia es un ejemplo de perseverancia. Los magos estaban determinados a seguir la estrella- “y al verla, se llenaron de inmensa alegría… y al entrar vieron al niño con María su madre… y cayendo de rodillas lo adoraron” Nuestra cultura nos anima así a seguir a muchas “estrellas.” estrellas del deporte, estrellas de rock, estrellas de películas, estrellas famosas por cualquier razón. Pero la pregunta es, ¿esas estrellas nos están llevando a Cristo? Tal vez ya es tiempo de aprender la lección de los magos e ir a buscar a Cristo. Estas otras “estrellas” ¡van y vienen, pero Jesús nunca nos abandona.

REFLEXION

Muchas gracias por su continuo apoyo. Hemos estado trabajando para ayudar a los necesitados durante la pandemia. Estamos pidiendo ayuda con la comida. Los siguientes

Gracias por tu ayuda como siempre. Considere ponernos en su lista de Navidad.
