LIVE THE LITURGY Inspiration for the week They recognized him in the breaking of bread. This was the amazing revelation or epiphany that occurred on the Road to Emmaus. Bread that had been transformed into the Body of Christ opened the eyes of the disciples and showed them who was really with them. Their hearts were burning. Sometimes we struggle with our belief in the Eucharist because we make it too much of an intellectual challenge. If God’s divinity was wed to humanity in the incarnation of Christ, then why is it not possible for God to take simple elements of bread and wine and transform them into his Body and Blood? Affirm your faith today that the Eucharist you receive is God Himself. Become what you eat and allow God to embrace your soul and touch that part of you that no one else can touch.

MASS INTENTIONS for June 23-28, 2020 Head Custodian
Sacred Heart Parish, Shawano, is seeking a full-time custodian in charge of the care and maintenance of buildings and grounds of Sacred Heart Parish and assures the buildings and grounds are in clean and safe condition. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with two years maintenance experience and a valid driver’s license. Requires an aptitude in math in order to create and maintain a budget, a working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, equipment, and safety regulations. Must be 18 years of age. Employment will be contingent upon passing a background check.

Building Maintenance Funds
We humbly wish to thank our parish members for their continued support of parish needs for funding to maintain our buildings and grounds. We are very proud of our facilities which serve the needs of our members, guests, students, and staff. Recent accomplishments include: New Church roof, replacing school playground woodchips, updated air handling system for school gym, new phone system for school and parish center: $9,600 and new concrete sidewalk sections. Future needs to be considered include: Replacing flat roof area on north church/school entrance: $12,500 ($425 received), safety/fireproof doors for cafeteria entrances in church basement: $9,000, and one school classroom floor replaced each year: $4,700. Anyone wishing to designate parish offerings to be used for any one of these projects or the Building Maintenance Fund is encouraged and welcome to do so. Our sincere thanks and appreciation!
