Your prayers are requested
for Gail Rose Zaccagnini,
Francis C. McCarthy, Sr.,
and Sheila Mary Ryan who
recently died and for their
family and friends who
mourn. May they and all our
departed rest in peace.
Last week, Father Matthew took Senior Altar
Servers Ryan Lally and Alex D’Amico to St. John’s
Seminary in Brighton for a dinner and conference
with Bishop Reed about Vocations to the
priesthood. Close to 30 young men from high
school to college age, attended the evening
called the Saint Andrew’s Dinner which is held
monthly either at the Seminary or in local parishes.
Fr. Matthew attended his first Saint Andrew’s
dinner as a Sophomore in High School and says
that it was one of the many things that helped
him in discerning his vocation.
Anyone who is actively considering or open to a
vocation to the priesthood, or religious life should
contact Father Matthew for information about
upcoming Vocations events in the diocese.
2018 SACRED HEART BAZAAR MEETING There will be a very important meeting held on
Monday evening, May 7 at 7:00pm at McEntee Hall
at Sacred Heart. We would like all chairpersons to
attend. Anyone interested in helping with the bazaar
are also very welcome to attend. If you have any
questions, please call Peter Cruza at 857-266-7782.
SACRED HEART PARISH, FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER — APRIL 22, 2018
WOMEN’S GROUP
The next meeting of the W a t e r t o w n C a t h o l i c Collaborative’s Women’s Group will meet on Tuesday, May 1 at Sacred Heart in Watertown. For all those wishing to pray the
Rosary, please join us at 6:45pm. Our meeting begins at 7:00pm. Any questions, please contact: Mary Berkeley by emailing her at [email protected]. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Now that the priests have moved into Sacred Heart Rectory and Saint Patrick's buildings close at 5:00 each day, we have visited the safety factor of us being alone in Saint Patrick's lower hall without immediate support if something happens and not having someone to open and close the building. It has therefore been decided that all future meetings will be held at Sacred Heart. It is a very smart move along with the bonus of having the Chapel for prayerful meetings.
PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY The next Prayer Shawl Ministry will be
on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at
10:00am in the Watertown Catholic
Collaborative Parish Center at 26R
Chestnut Street. If you have any
questions, please contact Fran Nelligan
at 617-924-1919 or Peggy O’Hara at 617-924-8229.

2018 CATHOLIC APPEAL
We are pleased to share that Sacred Heart
has reached 89% ($21,105/$23,701) of our
financial goal and 254% (107/42) of our in-
pew response goal-what a great start! The
early outpouring of support from so many
is outstanding and it is what makes Sacred
Heart such a vibrant place of worship. If
you have yet to give, please pick up a
pledge form at the church and drop it into
the collection basket at any mass. Thank
you for your prayers and support!
Grant me, O Lord my God,
a mind to know you,
a heart to seek you,
wisdom to find you,
conduct pleasing to you,
faithful perseverance in waiting for you,
and a hope of finally embracing you.
Amen.
