What is the Chaplet of Divine Mercy? The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is a prayer that uses traditional Rosary beads to meditate upon and ask for the infinite mercy of God that was poured out upon the world through the passion of Jesus Christ. The prayers of the Chaplet were given by Jesus to St. Maria Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938) with the promise of many powerful graces as a fruit of this prayer. To learn more about the Chaplet and our Archdiocesan celebration of the Jubilee Year of Mercy, visit: ArchPhila.org/mercy “Thus the Jubilee will be celebrated both in Rome and

in the Particular Churches as a visible sign of the

Church’s universal communion.”– Pope Francis

Holy Year of Mercy Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ, Send your Spirit and consecrate

every one of us with its anointing, so that the Jubilee of Mercy may be a

year of grace from the Lord, and your Church.

With renewed enthusiasm,

may bring good news to the poor, proclaim liberty to captives and the oppressed, and restore sight

to the blind.

We ask this through the intercession of Mary, Mother of Mercy,

you who live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit for ever and ever. Amen.

PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS Continue Your Support Of The Seminary Campaign

God our Father, we thank you for calling men and women to serve in your Son’s Kingdom as priests, deacons, religious and consecrated persons. Send your Holy Spirit to help us respond generously and courageously to your call. May our community of faith support vocations of sacrificial love in our youth. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and every Amen.

APPRECIATION PARTY

In the past few years, in the month of February, we have celebrated the volunteers who serve our parish. Each occasion, however, has been hampered by the unpredictable February weather. And so, I have decided to have the celebration during the month of June or July, date to be announced. In advance, I thank everyone who serves our parish in any way. I am truly grateful we are all on the same journey to make Sacred Heart and Saint Hedwig’s a true community. Thank you! Father Mike

Prayer For the Feast of The Holy Family

Dear Lord, bless our family. Be so kind as to give us the unity, peace, and mutual love that You found in Your

own family in the little town of Nazareth.

Saint Joseph, bless the head of our family. Obtain for him the strength, the wisdom, and the prudence he needs to support and direct those under his care.

Mother Mary, bless the mother of our family.

Help her to be pure and kind, gentle and self-sacrificing. For the more she resembles you,

the better will our family be.

Lord Jesus, bless the children of our family. Help them to be obedient and devoted to their parents. Make them more and more like You. Let them grow, as You did, in

wisdom and age and grace before God and man.

Holy Family of Nazareth, make our family and home more and more like Yours, until we are all one family, happy and at peace in our true home with You. Amen.
