Parish Thanksgiving Working Bee

The second WORKING BEE - will be held on this Thursday 9 November at 10am in the Sacred Heart Meeting Rooms (approx. 1.5 hours).

We need the assistance of 10 helpers to assem-ble response letters to parishioners, and prepare the new Thanksgiving Offertory Envelopes.

Mass for family members who have died

Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning 18

th November at

10.00am in Sacred Heart Church for families who are grieving for a family member or close friend who has died in the last 12 months.

As you arrive you will have the op-portunity of adding their name to a list of those to be prayed for, and these names will be announced during the Mass. All welcome.

November Masses

If you wish to make offerings for Masses for deceased family members or friends during November, write

their names on the front of an en-velope, or use the envelope in the weekly giving envelopes, and place it on the collection plate. Names are now being acknowledged in the Sunday Bulletin.

Remembrance Day

Mass on Saturday 11th

November (Remembrance Day) at West Lakes at 8.30am will be offered for all who have suffered or died in armed conflicts in the world.

Mark’s Gospel

We commence Year B of Sunday Readings on the First Sunday of Advent (December 3rd). At the heart of Year B is the Gospel of Saint Mark.

Fr Kevin Horsell has agreed to two 90 minute sessions on exploring Mark’s Gospel – on Thursday 30th November at 10.30am and repeated at 7,00pm, in Sacred Heart Meeting Room. Exciting for all ages!

Vinnie’s Corner

The St Vincent de Paul So-ciety Lefevre Group will have Christmas Cards and Colum-ban Calendars for sale from this weekend at all Masses until sold out.

Christmas Cards are priced at $5 for a pack of 10 and Columban calendars are $10 each.

The annual Vinnies Christmas Appeal will be held next weekend Nov. 11 & 12, with speakers at each Mass. This year’s Advent giving trees will appear at the Semaphore and Taperoo churches on Nov. 18 & 19 with tags of those in need, for you to take.
