is easy, and my burden light.”
A WARM WELCOME TO FR. SHENOSKY
Dear Parishioners of Sacred Heart, As I start my first week at Sacred Heart Church, I want to let you know how excited I am to begin! For the past nine years, I have been blest to serve you as a weekend assistant, while I worked full-time at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary. My time at the seminary was a special grace in my life, and I am grateful to God for the experience. I am a parish priest at heart, and after nine years of work in the formation of future priests, I long to return to full-time parish ministry. When I first learned back in April that I would be given pastoral care of a parish, I had no idea that parish would be Sacred Heart. I met with Archbishop Nelson Perez on June 19th - The Feast of the Sacred Heart - to find out where I would be assigned. When the Archbish-op told me that he was sending me to the place where I have been helping on weekends, Sacred Heart Church in Oxford, I was thrilled! During the course of these past nine years, I have come to know you and be inspired by you as a people of strong faith. Over the years, together we have witnessed a lot of changes in the parish. I believe that through all of the blessings and challenges, Jesus has been with us. He is with us now, and I know that He will be with us as we journey forward in faith together. One of my favorite versus in scripture is taken from John’s Gospel, Chapter 14, verse 6: “Jesus says, ‘I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life.’” My prayer is that with the help of God’s grace, we may always strive to make Jesus the center of all that we do. Please pray for me, that I may be the good shepherd that all of you deserve. Be assured that you are in my prayers everyday. May God bless you and Mary keep you! Sincerely yours, Father Shenosky

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the
Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually to my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen
