history.The first Saab was designed by 16 aircraft engineers. For them the idea ofcreating cars around the driver was natural. Their philosophy continues toinspire us. In a Saab the cockpit-like driver’s environment with ergonomicallydesigned controls and logically placed instruments makes decision-makingalmost intuitive. For example, take a look at t he Bi-xenon SmartBeam. It’s an intelligent new headlight

system designed to sense speed, oncoming traffic, your steering direction and bad

weather conditions. It then adjusts the beam for better visibility in a variety of situations.
