COPPER & BRASS HEAT EXCHANGERS

The classic technology in radiator manufacturing is based on copper and

brass. Flat oval tubes are formed on the Bigwood tube machine, both

folded and welded on generator. The functional elements are assembled

in the classical manner, through tin alloy soldering in specialized low-

temperature furnaces. A protective layer of paint is then applied using

either wet paint or powder paint applied in an electrostatic field.

MECHANICALLY ASSEMBLED ALUMINIUM HEAT EXCHANGERS

Aluminum tubes are flat oval. Fins are manufactured from aluminum on flexible and fast presses, with 300-400

strokes/min. Tubes and fins are then mechanically assembled and the headers are mounted on plastic tanks by

crimping. Tubes and headers are soldered with a special adhesive.

Advantages: 40% decreased weight ; 20% improved performances; superior quality; non-polluting technology

Starting 2008, ROMRADIATOARE has

implemented a new technology for the

For more than 50 years, ROMRADIATOARE S.A. has been the main Romanian supplier of heat exchangers for cars,

locomotives, trucks, buses and stationary engine groups.

1926• The company is established as a manufacturer of steel cables

1946• Production of radiators begins

1961• Name changed to “The factory of radiators and cables”

1980• The production of steel cables is stopped, focusing only on radiators

1991• The company changes its name into “ROMRADIATOARE S.A.”

1995• The company returned to its initial form of private property, through a MBO scheme

2008• SIF Transilvania SA becomes the main shareholder and ROMRADIATOARE relocates its production facilities
