MESSAGE FROM MS. CALLIE

RE: A-R BOOKS

Unfortunately, due to state mandates, students are unable to visit the library and check out books to read. I've

been looking for ways for students to read and take A.R. test. I've found a website that I believe will benefit

students. The website is called Epic. "Epic is the leading digital reading platform—built on a collection of

40,000+ popular, high-quality books from 250+ of the world’s best publishers—that safely fuels curiosity and

reading confidence for kids 12 and under." (https://www.getepic.com/students ). I've created an account for all

students, grades 1-8. Students log in using the class code then find their name. Once they find their name, they

click on the avatar and it brings them to their dashboard. From there, they can click on the A.R. tab and click

on their grade level (First grade would click 1.0-1.9; Second grade would click 2.0-2.9, and so on). Once they click

on their grade level, it will bring them to a new page that has all the books for that grade. It has them organized

by level, 1.0,1.1,1.2,etc.

I've attached an information sheet with direction on how to get to the site as well as getting the mobile app.
