TGIF: ICE SKATING!The next TGIF will be on SATURDAY,
January 27! We'll go ice skating at YoungArena in Waterloo from 3-4:30pm. Yourcost will be only $5.00...St. Stephen willpick up the rest. You can bring your ownskates but Young Arena has both figure
skates and hockey skates for rent (skate rental is included in the $5.00). Please RSVP on the sign up in the

Northeast Iowa
Food BankOur first service opportunityfor helping at the Northeast
Iowa Food Bank will be on Thursday, February 1st. We willmeet in the lobby of St. Stephen at 5:00 p.m. We willserve from about 5:30-7:30pm. Please wear closed-toe
shoes. Transportation will be provided. Our time there willbe spent making snacks for the backpack program,
stocking shelves, and other things. Sign-up is on the bulletin board in the gathering space!

Golf Tournament Planning The 22nd Annual St. Stephen the
Witness Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 15, 2018, at
Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in CedarFalls. It's time to do some planning!
Please come to a brainstorming session on Wednesday, January 31, at
7:00pm in the social hall. We'll think of new ways tofundraise and maybe some new businesses to contact. If
you have any business connections or ideas, please consider helping out! You would not have to attend or be
present on the day of the tournament to be a part of theplanning. If you are able to attend the meeting on

Adoration OpportunitiesBeginning January 18, St. Patrick Church in Cedar Falls
will hold Adoration monthly on the third Thursday (weeklyduring Lent) from 5:30-6:30pm in the church.
This will be a time of silent prayer and adoration, allowingpeople to come and go throughout the hour as their
schedules allow. Once Adoration begins, Fr. Colter will bein the confessional for the sacrament of Reconciliation.

Pre-Marriage RetreatSt. Stephen the Witness will hold
its annual Pre-Marriage Retreat onJanuary 26-27, 2018. Friday’s
session will run from 7-10pm andSaturday’s from 8:30am-5:00pm.

ever wanted to be a: Greeter,Eucharistic Minister, Sacristan,
Collection Counter, Lector, or Musician for Mass, now isyour chance! We are especially in need of EucharisticMinisters and Greeters for the 8 PM Masses. Please
consider this opportunity and come to a training sessionafter Mass on the 28th. If that date doesn't work foryou and you are still interested in being trained in any
