Comments: Excellent job, with good communication throughout – needed two appointments to measure up then replace the panel. Kept informed at all times, William was excellent, kept everything tidy, and did a brilliant job.

Total cost of work: £35,000 Description of work: Complete strip out and replacement of kitchen; strip out and replacement of 2 bathrooms; laying new oak flooring in 3 rooms; tiling of kitchen and bathroom; various other repairs as found during the works. Comments: Having used this firm 2 times previously, I was thrilled when they agreed to come to the Highlands to assist me with renovating my old Croft house. Given the age of the house, we found problems as the job progressed. Consequently, the job ran over time, but William and his team reorganised their work commitments in order to finish the job. The standard of workmanship is fantastic. I am delighted with the result. Would highly recommend this company.

Total cost of work: £1455 Description of work: Replace kitchen worktops. Comments: This company does exactly what it says on the tin with bells on! The service, reliability and workmanship more than you could ask for. I actually feel I have new friends in William and Audrey the owners and I have never met them. All contact with them was virtual from 240 plus miles away and from start to finish they turned the problem I needed fixing into an absolute breeze. Whether you live locally or not, if I were you I wouldn't hesitate to use them, I know I won't hesitate to again.

He explained what options we had and described how the job would be carried out. We did have an unexpected delay to the project but we were kept informed.

Total cost of work: £9968 Description of work: Complete revamp of kitchen including replacement doors, sinks, taps, new floor. Comments: Visited us several times after we made some changes and was very patient and did not hassle for a decision despite us taking our time to decide. We got three quotes and this one was the cheapest but the company came with a recommendation so we had that piece of mind also. Workmanship was first class, kept us up to date with progress each day, we felt very comfortable leaving the team to work whilst we were not in the house. There were no hidden costs despite it being a fairly big job for us.

Supply and fit mirror wardrobe door and track – made to measure. Fit blind in bedroom. Comments: Very good no complaint – arrived on time, got on with the jobs. Overcame any problems they encountered and finished in a day. Well done! I would use their services again.

Comments: William and the team at S&S were, from start to finish, courteous, mannerly, tidy, trustworthy and above all skillful and professional. Cut Livingroom curtain pole. 2 bedroom doors cut @ bottom & rehung. New door handle & lock on front door. Headboard fixed. Comments: Very happy with workmanship & would recommend this company. Was kept informed regularly re problem acquiring suitable door handle which involved 3 visits by trader to achieve proper handle. Had no problems with this company & we always talked & agreed on suitable times & days for work so was never let down by workers not turning up.

Total cost of work: £1778 Description of work: Upgrading of existing bathroom - replace flooring in bathroom & shower room, renew ceiling in bathroom with PVC cladding, box in pipes behind toilet & wash basin, fit wet wall behind bath & to side of bath, fit wet wall behind cistern & wash hand basin, replace ceiling light & taps to bath & wash basin, replace ceiling fan. Comments: William worked hard to carry out the work & overcame difficulties caused by previous poor workmanship. He kept us informed when the work took longer than originally thought, & when the cost had to be increased due to the problems caused by the previous work. Overall we were very pleased with the standard of the work & with the end result.

Total cost of work: £360 Description of work: Replace an electric shower in the bathroom. The company supplied the shower after consultation and fitted the new one and removed old one. Comments: An excellent company. Mr Sandilands responded quickly to my initial phone call, came at the time specified both for the estimate and the actual fitting. Everything was cleared away at the end of the job and everything in my bathroom was covered to prevent damage.

Total cost of work: £1620 Description of work: Remove paint from foundation brick around house, as the brick had crumbled and fell away on several sections. Brick mortar applied and resealed before painting. Guttering paint scraped, repainted. Two coats of masonry textured paint applied around 8 windows and two doors. Comments: After paint removed from foundation brick, William gave a few solutions to the state of crumbled brick. Decided on applying mortar before resealing brick to keep the originality. Son Calum did a great job, plenty of patience. Apex at side of house not completed due to level of ground unsafe for the boys to use their ladder. William again found a solution to this problem by erecting scaffolding but decided we would leave this for another few years. No hesitation in using this company again.

Comments: Accurate, precise, highly skilled tradespersons. Excellent value for money – would certainly recommend and also have this trader back for other work.
