EXPRESSIVE PAINTING: WATER MEDIA $38Enjoy an expressive approach to painting in a variety of inventive techniques using the medium of your choice: watercolor and/or acrylics. Emphasis is on identifying personal style from representational to abstract and original imagery. Paint, collage, wax (encaustics), inks, resists and drawing media will be incorporated. BAND REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE Focus is on the preparation, study, and performance of band concert repertoire. The content differs each time, and repeat students gain an expanded educational experience by repetition and practice, developing skills and proficiency. A.S.A.P.—AEROBIC STRENGTH AND PILATES $25Combines intervals of aerobic and strength training for burning extra calories and a variety of Pilates and resistance training for improving posture and overall muscle strength. Expect gradual improvement in balance, stability around joints to reduce pain and injuries, firming of abs and pelvic floor, strength in lower and upper body, toning, flexibility, body awareness, improvement in activities of daily life, leisure sports or other performances and better moods. DAYAN QIGONG – “WILD GOOSE CHI KUNG” $30Popular in China, Wild Goose Chi Kung provides a balanced approach to health and wellness. Simple, easy movements dredge the meridians, expel “sickness” qi and strengthen the body’s immune system to allow the body’s self-regulatory and self-healing systems to function optimally. DYNA-BAND WORKOUT $25Increase your strength and mobility using Dyna-bands. Dyna-bands or resistance bands (long latex strips) are used to increase muscle strength.
