Computer Games for Learning Lithuanian
ABSTRACT
Various educational software applications are widely used in the process of learning Lithuanian, both as a
mother tongue and as a foreign language. Computer games intended for learning Lithuanian take a
peculiar place among them. Such software applications make a learning process more varied, interesting
and diverse, promote the learner's motivation for learning and independence. The article discusses the
most popular Lithuanian computer games and points out their didactic goals and methods.

Use of Posters for Georgian as a Second Language Teaching
ABSTRACT
State language teaching for ethnic minorities in Georgia is extremely important for integration and
resocialization. According to the above-mentioned state language learning at non Georgian schools is
getting more intensive. With variety innovative methods including natural teaching method with
posters has its advantages, that means a close collaboration between communicative activities and
real environment during the teaching process which makes language acquisition easier. The posters
presents a reflection of different kind of lifetime situations, which gives teachers an opportunity to
define lexical and grammatical knowledge of each students and therefore to find the gaps and pro-
vide students with an additional knowledge. The main advantages of the natural approaches is to use
a target language more and reduce usage of mother tongue during the learning process. Teaching
with posters should be corresponding to the National Curriculum goals and results. If the plot of the
posters is presented with the different perspectives, students will focus on each subject and actions of
the story presented on the poster, that encourage them to express own ideas, interests as well as
their own assumptions on the subjects. As a result students are able to speak in Georgia more or less
fluently, and it promotes to rise awareness and increase motivation of state language learning.

Some Issues of History Teaching at Bilingual Schools
ABSTRACT
Bilingual education is an approved method in many countries of the modern society and it is used
effectively. Bilingual education takes place from 2004 in Georgia, when one of the international
organizations called “Simera” started implementations of bilingual education programs in four non
Georgian schools of different regions.
In our reality bilingual education requires much more responsibility from school administration than it is
in monolingual schools. This happens because the management of bilingual schools involves a whole
risk-factors related to pupils, parents and society in general.
At the beginning when teaching of social sciences in state language at bilingual schools had a many
skeptics. They state that the teaching social subjects requires a great storage of lexical. But phraseological
clichés in the process of the exact and natural sciences teaching gives less opportunity to carry out the
various simulations and interactive activities in class room. But it is extremely important to be focused
on pupils’ cognitive skills, create peaceful work atmosphere and support to preserve national identity of
each students.

It is General truth, that lesson plan, generally and second/foreign lesson plan particulary is a key to
successful learnin process. In this paper there are described activities which should be presented in the
lesson plan. Extended lesson plan (content, assignments and other materilas are included) could be
used as a tamplate for Georgian Foreign/Second Language lesson planning.
