1.0 General:DRS(F)startedthemeetingbywelcomingalltheparticipantstothethirdquarterlywTA

meeting of 2017-1g held on 06.10.2017 in conference Hall of Rail Bhawan. In view of proposed

shut down of wheel shop of RwF, ZR and pUs were requested to seek allotment of wheels for 3'd

and 4s quarter. He then requested PED/RS(P) to address the august gathering.

2.0 PED/RS(P) :

PED/RS(P) stressed on the importance of reviewing the requirement of LHB wheels and

Diesel Loco wheels by all the zonarRailways and pUs in view of the enhanced production of LHB

coaches and curtailing down the production of Diesel Locomotives in future. He expressed

satisfaction at the performance of both RwF and RWp during the second quarter and desired M/s

SAIL/DSP to improve their performance. sAIL was also advised to gear up production of Electric

Loco wheels in view of it's likely increase in demand due to increased production of Electric

Locomotives. He informed that the next tender for LHB wheels is under finalization and the

quantities being procured was based on the indents submitted by the Railways / PUs' PED/RS(P) also

told RwF, RWp and SAIL/DSP to pack the wheels properly using spindles prior to it's dispatch to

prevent any accident while unloading the same by the consignees.

3.0 RWF :

pCMM /RwF stated that supply percentage of RWF was 1007o w.r.t allotment during the 2nd

quarter. He informed that RWF required 8000 MT of scrap every month for manufacture of wheels

& axles. CME/RWF expressed concern at the mounting inventory of wheels in the factory and

desired maximum allotment to allow RWF to dispatch the goods'

4.0 RWP, Bela :

PCMIwRwP/Bela apprised that more than 100% compliance was achieved'

5.0 SAIL /DSP :

GM/w&Ap/sAIL informed that SAIL,s compliance percentage was improving with every quarter

and they can take increased load in view of proposed shutdown of wheel shop at RWF in the 4th

quarter. He informed that special care was being taken on the proper packing of wheels to prevent

recurrence of mishaps in future. The issue of delay in issuing advise of receipt of goods sent by road

transport was highlighted that was preventing SAIL from clearance of transporters bills'

6.0 SuPPlv Position

The position of supplies-1ade.bv nll during the previous quarter i'e' July - sept'' 2017 was

discussed. The same is tabulated as under:-

1.0 General:

DRS(F) started the meeting by welcoming all the participants to the third quarterly WTA meeting of2017-18 held on 06.10.2017 in Conference Hall of Rail Bhawan. In view of proposed shut down of wheel

shop of RWF, ZR and PUs were requested to seek allotment of wheels for 3'd and 4th quarter. He then

requested PED/RS(P) to address the august gathering.

2.0 PED/RS(P):

PED/RS(P) stressed on the importance of reviewing the requirement of LHB wheels and Diesel Loco

Wheels by all the Zonal Railways and PUs in view of the enhanced production of LHB coaches and

curtailing down the production of Diesel Locomotives in future. He expressed satisfaction at the

performance of both RWF and RWP during the second quarter and desired IWs SAILiDSP to improve their

performance. SAIL was also advised to gear up production of Electric Loco wheels in view of it's likely

increase in demand due to increased production of Electric Locomotives. He informed that the next tender

for LHB wheels is under finalization and the quantities being procured was based on the indents submitted

by the Railways / PUs. PED/RS(P) also told RWF, RWP and SAILiDSP to pack the wheels properly using

spindles prior to it's dispatch to prevent any accident while unloading the same by the consignees.

3.0 RWF' :

PCMM /RWF stated that supply percentage of RWF was 100% w.r.t allotment during the2"d quarter.

He informed that RWF required 8000 MT of scrap every month for manufacture of wheels & axles.

CME/RWF expressed concern at the mounting inventory of wheels in the factory and desired maximum

allotment to allow RWF to dispatch the goods.

4.0 RWP, Bela :

PCMM/RWP/BeIa apprised that more than 100% compliance was achieved.

5.0 SAIL /DSP :

GM/W&AP/SAIL informed that SAIL's compliance percentage was improving with every quarter and they

can take increased load in view of proposed shutdown of wheel shop at RWF in the 4ft quarter. He informed

that special care was being taken on the proper packing of wheels to prevent recurrence of mishaps in future.
