The Miracle Mission - Presentation by Sheila Brune
Sheila Brune, one of our parishioners and a registered nurse, traveled to the poorest part of rural, southern India earlier this year on a medical mission to help end gendercide - the killing of baby girls. The mission was impactful and life changing. She was able to witness the Rhema Project in action.
It is estimated that up to one million girls from newborns to age 3 go missing every year in India. The Rhema Project is successfully changing the horrific cultural practices of gender-specific abortion, infanticide, starvation and abuse of the girl child. During Sheila’s time there she witnessed the hand of God working to save lives.
Please join us as Sheila will do a presentation on her trip on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 6:30 pm. Please contact the parish office if you have any questions.

That Man Is You Men’s Group
That Man is You (TMIY) is a nationally based men’s group that meets weekly at our parish. The theme for this year is “The Battle of the Bride”. This theme will empower men to take the next step in authentic male leadership. Offering proven solutions and practical methods, this program will provide an incredibly clear pathway to overcoming the pressures men encounter in going to the end of love. The Spring session of TMIY started up again on Feb. 7th and will continue each week through May. TMIY meets on Thursday mornings at 6:00am - 7:30am and includes a light breakfast. Please join us! Lenten Charity: Help the Helpless
Our charity for Lent is Help the Helpless, who’s mission is to improve the lives of the most needy in Southern India and Ecuador through humanitarian support, education and teaching the Catholic faith. Their objective is to help poor children and broken families to become self-reliant by providing primary education, higher education, vocational training, and small grants for start up businesses. The teachings of the Catholic Church are always central to the humanitarian work and the emphasis is always on the saving of souls and the conquest of the youth for Christ.
Please be generous this Lent! Sacred Heart is specifically helping the India mission through your donations. You can donate to Help the Helpless through the Lenten boxes that were given out a couple weeks ago, or you can give a donation directly to the charity in an envelope marked Help the Helpless in the offering basket on the weekends.
