Confidentiality What you discuss in the counseling

office stays between you and your counselor.

There are only three exceptions.1. If you are a danger to yourself.2. If you are a danger to others.3. If someone else is putting you in

danger.

MEETING WITH YOUR COUNSELOR

Make an appointment1) Stop by the School Counseling Office

between classes, at lunch, or before/after school.

2) Select your School Counselor’s clipboard and register for a time and date that is best for you.

3) You will get a pass on the day you registered during homeroom. *It is your responsibility to remember your appointment time*

GPA – GRADE POINT AVERAGE

GPA stands for Grade Point Average

Each letter grade you receive on your report card is assigned a value, known as a grade point.

Cumulative GPA is the average of all your grade points, for each class you have taken during high school.

There are two types of GPA, unweighted and weighted.

Highest Value is 4.0

Unweighted GPA Highest

Value is 6.0

Weighted GPA

Colleges will look at both types of GPA during admission, but each college will have it’s own acceptable GPA range! However, many community colleges do not require specific GPA’s.
