S. B. Patil Institute of Management organized its 6th

Alumni meet “Convergence

2018” for the Alumni students of the past seven batches on 24th February 2018 at

SBPIM, Seminar Hall, 5.30PM Onwards.

Association of SBPIM were felicitated by

Dr. Daniel Penkar, Director, SBPIM.

In the welcome speech of Dr. Daniel

Penkar, Director of SBPIM. Sir expresses

his gratitude towards all alumni for coming

to alumni meet inspite of their busy

corporate and personal schedule. He also

said we were expecting such a good

response because of the cordial

relationship amongst Alumni’s &

Institutes.

Dr, Daniel Penkar Sir also highlighted the remarkable contribution of some

distinguished alumni, like Shyam Shelke & Isha Bhatia. He said they are the role

model for the other Alumni, who are devotedly working and helping their alma

matter in their respective capacity. He

appealed the alumni to keep visiting

SBPIM and guide and share their

experiences from the corporate world

with the faculties and students.

President Ms. Shreya Patil completed her 5 year of presidential tenure, also Mr

Shyam Shelke completed his 5 year of Secretarial tenure.

All present Alumni’s were asked to nominate their name for President and

secretory post of Alumni Association of SBPIM, Ms. Isha Bhatia and Ms. Shyam

Shelke were unanimously as President and Secretory. Dr. Daniel Penkar Sir,

Felicitated the newly elected body of Alumni Association.

During the event a dance was performed by MBA 1st year students.

Mr. Shyam Shelke threw light upon the wide scope available for the freshers to bag

opportunities of employment and entrepreneurship which he has found on his

multiple interactions with industries in the past.

He also requested all the alumni to ask their employer to offer jobs to SBPIM or

atleast offer Summer Internship to one student, this way we all will help the new

generation and payback something to our almamatter.

Prof. Anish Karia- Treasurer- Alumni Association- expressed vote of thanks to Dr.

Daniel Penkar for his whole hearted support, All teaching and non-teaching staff

and all beloved Alumni for making this event a memorable one.

The alumni also joined and enjoyed the same. 112 alumni were present in the

event. The program was followed by networking dinner, during which all the

alumni meet their Teachers and friends all were able to relive the memories and

rejoice their past days at SBPIM.

SBPIM 5th Alumni Meet Convergence 2017 Report

S.B.Patil Institute of

Management organized its 5th

Alumni meet “Convergence

2017” for the Alumni students of

the past six batches on 4th March

2017.

Mr. Shyam Shelke, Secretary of

Alumni Association of SBPIM

and Prof. Anishkumar Karia, Treasurer Alumni Association of SBPIM were

felicitated by Dr. Daniel Penkar, Director, SBPIM.

Addressing the alumni in his welcome speech, Director of SBPIM- Dr.Daniel

Penkar spoke about the relationship between Institute and Alumni. How Alumni

meet is useful for developing a huge number of contacts and linkages between

Alumnus of various batches i.e. seniors as well as juniors. He suggested the alumni

to keep visiting SBPIM and guide and share their experiences from the corporate

world with the faculties and students. He further added that Alumni are one of the

most important stake holders of any Educational institute.


During the event a musical video of SBPIM’s journey was played. The Alumni

were able to relive the

memories and rejoice their

past days at SBPIM.

appealed to the alumni to contribute towards creating better job opportunities for

current students and colleagues in the corporate world and to continue the same

enthusiastic association with the Institute.

Addressing the alumni in his welcome

speech Dr. Daniel Penkar spoke about the

importance of an Alumni meet and how the

alumni play an important role in the image

building of institute in the corporate world.

He suggested the alumni to keep visiting

SBPIM and guide our students through

training programs and by sharing their

experiences from the corporate world. He

further added that alumni play great role in

the admissions and placement activity of the

institute.

Mr. Shyam Shelke in his speech said

that with multiple interactions with

industries there is wide scope for the

fresher to get the opportunities of

employment and also to start new

ventures. Under Make in India Mission

Pune is included in smart city project

.As such there is a wide scope for


MBA graduates in there relevant domain to set up the venture . He assured all the

alumni and present students to provide the necessary support in case of any such

proposal submitted to the government .He appealed the alumni to contribute

towards creating better job opportunities in corporate world and to continue the

same enthusiastic association with the Institute.

The first year students performed cultural events to grace the function. The alumni

also joined and enjoyed the same. One hundred sixty alumni participated in the

event.

Association of SBPIM were felicitated by Dr.Daniel Penkar,Director, SBPIM.

The program began with a welcome speech

by Dr.Kirti Dharwadkar, Dean,Academics.

She welcomed the students by reminding

them all the funny things they did as students

in the college. She conveyed to the students

that it felt so good to meet them after such a

long time and that the college feels so proud

to know that their students are making the

college proud in the corporate world. Dr.Kirti also advised the students to keep

continuing to give such an overwhelming response for every Alumni meet.

Dr.Daniel Penkar spoke about the importance of an Alumni meet and how the

Alumni students play an important role in building Universities and colleges

aboard. He asked the alumni students to keep visiting our SBPIM family whenever

they can and try to guide our students through training programs and sharing the

scenario and their experiences in the Corporate world.

Dr. Penkar stressed on the fact that the Alumni students are consumers of the

Institute and they are the ones who play an important role in spreading a positive

message in the society.


He advised the students to make this Alumni meet a good and fruitful one by

sharing information and a lot of details with their friends and juniors.

Mayur Dumbre, Chinmay Padgaonkar, Vaibhav

Phuskele, Lalsingh Rajput and Sagar Choukhande

expressed their gratitude towards institute's positive

role and contribution in their corporate as well as in

personal life.

Harshal Borse expressed about how the

Institute has played an important role in

transforming him and also spoke about how he

has grown in his role as a Successful

Entrepreneur by creating value added unique

products in the market.

Shyam Shelke, Secretary of the Alumni association appealed to the alumni

students to contribute towards creating better job opportunities in corporate world

and to continue the same enthusiastic association with the Institute.

Dr.H.D.Thorat expressed the vote of thanks for

active participation of alumni, all faculty

members of SBPIM for making Convergence

2015, a grand success.

151 alumni members were present for

Convergence - 2015.As the tradition alumni

was presented with a memento, the meet ended with delicious dinner and informal

talks among the faculty and alumni.





SBPIM 2nd Alumni meet Convergence 2014 Report

SBPIM organised its second alumni meet 'CONVERGENCE - 2014' on February 22, 2014.

Two minutes silence was observed to give condolence to our ex-student Mr. Akash Vihire.

The program began with welcome speech by Director Dr. Daniel Penkar. He motivated the alumni in his own

charismatic way sharing his own experience as an alumnus of Ness Wadia College. Mr. Shyam Shelke,

Secretary of Alumni Association of SBPIM and Prof. Anishkumar Karia Treasurer Alumni Association of SBPIM

were felicitated.

Prof. Priya Gole took us through the development journey of SBPIM since inception which included receiving

ISO 9001:2008 certification, award for college of substance, institute's pride Director Dr. Daniel Penkar who

won precious international and national award, achievements of Dr. H. D. Thorat,Dr. Kirti Dharwadkar and all

the faculty. She also showed how the winning streak of alumni is continued by their juniors by bagging

variousawards and cash prizes competitions related to academics and sports.


The most memorable session of this meet was the experience shared by alumni. Shyam Shelke emphasised

upon that all the alumni members to always be attached with the institute and pass on the employment

opportunities to T & P cell. Mayur Dumbre, Shweta Muttalmani, Vishwajit Thool, and Gurpreet Singh expressed

their gratitude towards institute's positive role and contribution in their corporate as well as in personal life.

Sagar Choukhande had presented his view towards cut-throat corporate culture and success.

Mr. Shailesh Siddhatekkar Head T & P, SBPIM appealed alumni to contribute more and more for creating

better opportunities in corporate world for their juniors and continue the same enthusiastic association with

institute. He expressed vote of thanks for active participation of alumni, all faculty members of SBPIM for

making convergence a grand success.
