MD SpeedMeet Serves As Match Maker For Six Doctors And New PatientsThis Valentine’s Day eve, dozens of peo-ple hunted for the perfect match - in doc-tors, that is - in our first-ever MD Speed-Meet event in Avon.

Six highly respected Hartford Hospital OB-GYNs were there, in one place-- so participants could spend five minutes with each and find a doctor who is right for them.

If it sounds like speed dating, there’s a reason. It’s based on the speed dating model. But it’s NOT about finding a date-- it’s about finding the perfect doctor.

This was a free program, open to the public.

$5 Million Gift Will Name Hospital’s New Tallwood Urological and Kidney InstituteHartford Hospital has received a com-mitment of $5 million from an anon-ymous donor to associate the name Tallwood with our new Urological and Kidney Institute.

This transformational gift is a testament to our expertise in urological and kidney care. The gift will enable us to continue to invest in state-of-the-art technology

and training and to recruit top physi-cians for the benefit of our patients and our community.

The Tallwood Urological and Kidney In-stitute will provide comprehensive uro-logical and kidney care with improved sub-specializations in areas such as urologic oncology, robotic and laparo-scopic surgery, endourology and stone

disease, pelvic medicine and recon-structive surgery, genitourinary recon-struction, and male infertility and re-productive medicine.

Through the Tallwood Institute, we will be able to achieve better patient outcomes and experiences, expand service loca-tions, and improve patient access to care by increasing the number of providers.
