The Research Scholars Orientations and Forums are presented by the Office of Research and Graduate Studies. They are an interactive learning experience associated with the Research Scholars Certification Program, providing an in-depth look at record keeping, data ownership and data management. They are an integral part of Responsible Conduct of Research training, and they will be of interest to every graduate student and postdoctoral fellow who plans to publish research or other scholarly work.

Dr. Leon Anderson is the head of the USU Department of Sociology, Social Work, and Anthropology. With over 30 co-authors, Dr. Anderson has published two books and forty articles and book chapters. Drawing on his writing and editorial experience, he will talk about the ethics, politics, pragmatic realities of co-authorship in the academy and lead the forum in analyzing several case studies involving co-authorship.
