Underpinning is basically done to upgrade existing building foundations

Casings are normally always left in hole

When ground has boulders and, especially, when bottom rock socket is needed, ring bit system should be the way to go.

Foundation drilling and underpinning works are often done in conditions where existing, working foundations are sensitive to any kind of changes in its immediate surroundings. DTH drilling can provide straight high quality pile, it will not cause horizontal stress or deviate like driven pile, it can be drilled to any ground and into sloping bed rock but sometimes the use of air can be a concern
