On Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency Increase
Aims to establish legal framework to promote energy efficiency in Russia. Energy efficiency
was defined as one of top priority factors of Russian economy modernization

Renewable Energy by 2020
Intends to increase share of RES in total volume of energy production and consumption by 4.5 per cent by 2020

Main goal was to exchange experience and expertise, define the barriers for cooperation and the ways to remove them
REA is planning to organize a
business-mission for a delegation
of Russian government and
business sector to Japan to
exchange experience on:
• Energy management on
industrial sites;
• Energy efficiency within the
Smart city concept.
This initiative of REA has been
supported by Ministry of
Economic Development of Russia
and Russian Trade representative
office in Japan.

CHP Technologies for Distributed Energy Systems
RES in Electricity Markets for Sustainable Development
• Survey APEC economies’ priorities, strategies and plans for CHP application in distributed
energy generation
• Study initiatives, strategies and legislation in this area;
• Study and share best practices and experiences in cold climate and/or on islands
• Develop recommendations for promoting use of CHP in distributed energy generation on
islands and cold climate territories
• Estimate efficiency of incentives used in APEC economies to stimulate development of renewables
