SIGHTS TO SEE

The Central Nevada Museum A must see, conveniently located just off Highway 95 near the Tonopah Station Casino. The museum provides a true history of life in the good old days in Central Nevada. You will see a large collection of artifacts, photographs, and exhibits.

The Tonopah Historic Mining Park A 100 acre walking park that takes you back in time, to the start of the silver boom that makes Tonopah such a great historical place to visit. The park offers a wide range of experiences of the old west. Dont miss this vital landscape of life and times in the mining camps, past to present, hardship and despair to growth and prosperity.

With antique mining equipment, mineral exhibits and actual re-creations of the daily workings of the mines, this is a

definite stop on your tour of Central Nevada. Other stops to make in Tonopah include

the Old Tonopah Cemetery, the Old Nye County Courthouse, the Mizpah

Hotel, and numerous other attractions.

The town of Goldfield, founded in 1902 with the discovery of gold on Columbia Mountain, is the County Seat for Esmeralda County. Take a step back

in time by visiting the old Goldfield Hotel, the Esmeralda

County Courthouse (still in use today), the Firehouse Museum and

many other attractions. They offer a full day of adventure and fun.

The county seat is located in Tonopah, 165 miles north of Pahrump on U. S. Hwy. 95. The county maintains offices in Pahrump for all its departments, and district court is held in both Tonopah and Pahrump.
