Rural Tuition Centre in a

Fisherman’s Colony

69th Independence Day Celebrations

In Thiruvallur District at

T h o n i r e v u v i l l a g e o u r

Foundation is running a Rural

Tuition Centre from November

2013. About 80% of the villagers

are engaged in fishing. This

Centre is run by the Volunteer Teacher V.Thooyavan.

He is a social worker involved in many good causes and is

a very dedicated and passionate teacher. Nearly 25

students are studying in this Centre.

The Independence Day celebrations

was held in the Foundation office

with a lot of enthusiasm. The whole

office was decorated with lots of

tricolor balloons & flags which

evoked patriotic feelings in all of us.

Professor.S.Ganapthy, Dean, Placement Cell, SRM

University, Kattankulathur hoisted the National Flag at the

Foundation's Head Office, T.Nagar, Chennai. Nearly 25

Members took part in this celebration and took the National

Pledge after the hoisting of the National Flag.

Suyathozhil Manram, Chennai, S.Thiyagarajan, Managing Director – Buvanesh Impex, Chennai and more than 100 delegates participated in this Training Camp. Mrs. Kavitha Thiyagarajan, Trainer from Buvanesh Impex, Chennai explained about the Export & Import Strategies, Planning, Pricing, Control etc…to the delegates.

Paventhan, Managing Director – Evergreen Agencies trained the delegates and gave ideas on Production methods, Marketing Strategies, etc. Practical training on the Machine was also given to the delegates.

One Day Skill Building WorkShop for RTC Teachers - Thoothukudi A one-day Skill Centre Teachers in Thoothukudi District on 22nd August 2015.The venue for the meeting was PALMS office, the sponsor for the Servaikaranmadam Rural Tuition Centre in Thoothukudi District. P.Ganesan, Zonal Manager, PTF, M.Murugesan, District Honorary Organiser, Thoothukudi and T.Senthil Kannan, Managing Director (PALMS) organised the event.Resource Persons covered topics like 1.Simple & Smart way to teach students,2.Skill motivation speech, 4.How to teach Maths in an easy way,5.Teaching English in the right way and 6.Health & Hygiene awareness.

Blood Donation Camp - Chennai On the occasion of the Birthday of our Honorable Founder & Chancellor of SRM University and Chairman of SRM Group of Companies Dr.T.R.Paarivendhar, Puthiya Thalaimurai Foundation Organised the Blood Donation Camp at SRM Technologies,

thEkkattuthangal, Chennai on 24 August, 2015. 45 people donated Blood on that occasion. The Blood Bank Officer Dr. Ravindran from KMC Hospital was present to conduct the camp.

Rural Tuition CentreVilapakkam, Thiruvallur

Villapakkam is a village in Thiruvallur District 42 Kms from Chennai. About 300 houses are there in the Village in which

agriculture and cattle-rearing are the main occupation. Many women go to work in t h e n e a r b y e x p o r t c o m p a n i e s . K.Venkatesan is the Panchayat President under whose supervision the Foundation runs a Tuition Centre. V.Jeyakumar and N.Chandran are the Volunteer Teachers.

Tecaher at the Foundation’s Rural Tuition Centre. Nearly 20 Students are studying in this centre. G.Vazhumuni,father of Shruthi, an electrician, helps his daughter in runing the Tuition Centre where the students from Fisherman Community come for the daily Tuition.

The Foundation is conducting a Suyathozhil Seminar at Govindammal Thirumana Kudam, Mayiladuthurai on 12th September 2015. D.V.Venkatagiri, Secretary, K.Vijayagopal, Head, HR & Admin, G.J. Arul Veeramani, District Honorary Organiser, Nagapattinam, Loganathan, EC Member and two speakers at the forthcoming event, Mr. G. Kumar and Mr. Nagul Rajan, participated in a discussion on making the programme a success, at the Venue.
