Torch of the Gospelto others isfrom Paul to Timothy to reliable

disciples and to others.

God is looking for passionate

disciples who experience thefire of God in their hearts andare willing to devote their lives to

producing fired-up disciples forChrist. Such disciples will, in turn,

teach others who will zealously runwith the Gospel torch of Christ in

the world.

intimacy with God daily sothat I can pass on or invest

the Gospel in otherTimothys in the church.

To do this

1. I NEED TO POSSESS THEDEDICATION OF A SOLDIER.

Join with me in

suffering, like a good

soldier of Christ Jesus.No one serving as a

soldier gets entangled

in civilian affairs, but

rather tries to pleasehis commanding

officer.

As a spiritual soldier of

Christ, I must be willing to:

suffer hardship and toplease Christ avoiddistractions

2. I NEED TO PURSUE THEDISCIPLINE OF AN ATHLETE.

Similarly, anyone

who competes as an

athlete does notreceive the victors

crown except by

competingaccording to the

rules.

3. I NEED TO PRACTICE THEDILIGENCE OF A FARMER.

The hardworking

farmer should bethe first to

receive a share of

the crops.

toil or working hard against

big challenges.

harvest (crops) are:

(Personal Application):

Reflect on the three (3)requirements? Which onedo you lack most in your

life?

Begin a plan to grow in this

requirement by seeking thehelp of a trusted Christian

friend who knows you and can

help you grow. Pray and studyGods Word by looking for all

the references in the Bible for

the above three (3)requirements using an NIV or

similar concordance.

Prayerfully choose aChristian friend who can work

with you on a weekly basis to

deepen your spiritual life and

growth in Christ. See
