1. Observation outcomes Competent performance of ‘Observation’ outcomes must be demonstrated to your assessor on at least 1 occasion.

Your assessor will observe your performance of practical tasks. The minimum number of observations required is indicated in the evidence requirements section of this unit.

Your assessor will sign off an outcome when all criteria have been competently achieved.

Outcome 1: Be able to complete an enterprise activity
Product or service demonstration: Preparation of area/equipment/environment for demonstration, product/service knowledge, verbal explanation alongside practical demonstration, clear, accurate and efficient demonstration of product/service, promotional materials and costs displayed.
Practical and personal skills: Communication skills, presentation skills, confidence and competence, body language, ability to respond to questions, polite, helpful and enthusiastic manner.
Outcome 2: Know how to increase the likelihood of success in an enterprise activity
Features of an effective enterprise activity: Extensive and targeted market research, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of an enterprise activity, identifying the opportunities and threats of an enterprise activity, detailed project plan produced, key persons identified to assist with the activity with the appropriate skills and knowledge.
Outcome 3: Be able to review the success of the enterprise activity
Records of the enterprise activity: Strengths and weaknesses of enterprise activity, collation of feedback (number of sales, profit, feedback from customers and colleagues), achievements and opportunities for improvement, improvement plan/personal development plan.
