8. Disscussion

• Design and construct the mount to hold the microball.• Need details of the target ladder design. How it will fit through the 

microball and size and number of target frames?• Need details on a 2nd target ladder to hold the degrader foils and the 

scintillator.• Need to connect the chamber to the Zero Degree Spectrometer.• Do you want to use the MSU scintillator used in Jack's experiment? If so, 

should we send that with the group going to the RIBF user meeting?• Can we use the RF time to determine the beams? RF time will not be 

give the best PID at the focal plane.• Does the focal plan detectors have total energy information to do the 

charge state identifications.• We need beam tuning to decide on the size of the beam• Event rate• DAQ read out and online analysis
