Rules of the AuctionThe Silent Auction is conducted in writing. Retail value and description of the item are indicated on the bid sheet. To make a bid, write your bidder number on the bid sheet. Your bid must begin at or above the posted minimum requirement. Each increase must equal the increment specified on the bid sheet. Minimum bids will not be lowered.

Opening and Closing TimesThe silent auction will open at 6:00 pm and close at 7:30 pm.

There are no expressed or implied warranties with respect to property or services. The buyer waives any claims for liability against the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, the Lyric Opera Circle, or the donor for any personal injuries or damages that may result from the buyer’s or another’s use of property or services sold through the auction.

Wine Pull Everyone wins with this game! $30 per pull will allow you to select a numbered bottle of your choice. There will be 60 bottles to celebrate the Lyric’s 60th season. No bottles

are worth less than $30 with some bottles worth $50 or more! You must have a bid number to participate in the wine pull.

Retrieving Your ItemsFollowing the Silent Auction, please proceed to the Grand Ballroom for dinner, entertainment, and dancing. There will be absolutely no bidding after the auction is officially closed. An auction staff person will inform you of your winnings during dessert and present you with a credit card receipt if you have registered your card upon arrival. Otherwise, you must take your invoice to the cashier at the registration area and present cash, check, or credit card. Following dessert, please return to the auction room and present your paid receipt to an auction staff person, who will retrieve your item(s) for you. Please take your winning items with you.
