Cutting Costs by 10% Primary method for cutting costs is to reduce

service levels in the unincorporated area.

Reducing Route 75 by one bus in the peak hour would provide approximately$97,000 (11%).

Service on Route 75 was preliminarily reduced in 2012/13 tentative budget before the Board reconsidered that action in adopted budget.

RTS Rate Formula Current rate formula is based on per hour service

in the unincorporated area

In absence of a regional funding source, the current situation is as fair and equitable as possible.

9.3% of RTS service miles are in the unincorporated area.

The County funds 4.6% of RTS operating budget through annual service agreement.
