1.0 Introduction

R.T Civil Contractors, RTCC established in the Maseru district in 2016 when Mr.

Thabiso Ranchobe, who had worked in the commercial construction for two years,

began his own building and civil engineering construction company.

1.1 COMPANY OWNERSHIP

RTCC is a limited Company registered in the kingdom of Lesotho, Maseru. R.T Civil

Contractors is exclusively owned by Mr. Thabiso Ranchobe.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

2.0 MISSION STATEMENT

R.T Civil Contractors (RTCC) aims to offer the finest quality design, site preparation,

cost estimates, construction, maintenance, and modification to clients needing large

scale construction services, whether it be office buildings, warehouses, large apartment

complexes, public works, etc. RTCC maintains the highest standards of service in the

commercial construction industry. The company commits to providing world class safety

and quality.

2.2 KEYS TO SUCCESS

The local commercial construction market is growing at the moment. In order to obtain a

defendable position in this environment, RTCC must focus on the following tasks:

Secure at least five large scale commercial contracts over the next three years.

Increase our customer base through expansion into other geographic areas to

retain a sufficient level of profitability.

Increase marketing expenditure by 16%.

2.3 SERVICES PROVIDED

RTCC offers comprehensive services designed to allow the company to do whatever it

takes to execute a project. To achieve our objective of providing our clients with

outstanding service, we only construct using the equipment supplied by reputable

suppliers and manufactured by the manufacturers that produce high quality products

which have the SABS approval mark. These services include;

a) Roads: paving, kerbing, drifts, road marking, side drains, stone pitching and

maintenance.

b) Buildings; commercial houses, residential houses and maintenance.

c) Water supply; hand pumps, diesel pumps, solar pumps, plumbing and spring

catchments and maintenance

d) Electricity ; transmission lines, distribution lines, house supply and maintenance

e) Architectural design work

f) Structural design work

4.0 COMMUNICATION AND TRAINING

COMMUNICATION AND TRAINING: Members of staff will be trained to provide best

service and advance staff career. Training will be conducted at various areas including

institutions; attendance of seminars and through personal initiative support.

5.0 CONSTRUCTION

The construction of site roads, small bridges, housing, light industrial buildings and high

storey buildings investigation involve initial geological assessments followed by an

assessment of topographical conditions, site accessibility, and access to services and

other site-specific conditions, which many affect viability of the selection of specific site.

7.0 STRUCTURAL MATERIALS

R.T Civil Contractors’ structural material offers testing and professional advisory

services. On use of natural and manufactured materials for use in Civil Engineering

practices. Materials are core to success of built environment and their use has to be

economic but comply with requirements.

RTCC structural materials provide tests within framework of analysis, design and

evaluations. We offer the services through established laboratories but intend setting up

similar services within its business operations.

RTCC offers several advisory services comprising of Geology and Geotechnical

Engineering. And quality of materials manufactured for Civil Engineering construction.

Geotechnical advice is further offered on various aspects of Civil Engineering such as

slope stability, earthwork, pavement design and construction material, technical support

for environmental studies.

R.T Civil Contractors’ structural material offers the following services:
