    THE SUNDAY GAZETTE

    ROVERS

    CHAIRMAN

    ROTHSUNDERAGE

    SEX SHAMEJohn Lucas

    David Roth was unavailable for

    comment when The Gazettes legal

team contacted him at Parklands Hotel

    last night.

But as our picture journal shows

Roth had dined with his daughter and

her friend in the hotel restaurant after

watching his Melchester side win two-

nil against Walford to gain their firstvictory of the season.

    Images and comments taken from

the girls Facebook and Twitter profiles

confirm that she had been seeing an

older man. But few of her friends

would have guessed that that manwould be 53-year-old multi-millionaire

    David Roth.

She speaks of her deep feelings

and love for her mature man, who

spoils her rotten with jewellery and

    strawberries and wine evenings.

If it emerges that Roth has been

having sexual relations with a girl

under-16 after plying her with alcohol,

the crime would be viewed far more

severely in a court of law.

The Sunday Gazette has made an

    official complaint to the Metropolitan

Police and compiled a list of meetings

    between the two, along with

    photographic records, that have been

    handed to investigators.

    We understand that an

investigation is now underway and that

Police have contacted Roth with arequest for his attendance at Bow Street

Police Station as soon as possible.

A police spokesman said, A report

to be published in a Sunday newspaper

makes very serious allegations against a

53-year-old male of Melchester. I willbe clear here that while an investigation

is taking place, nobody has been

arrested or charged at this time.

We now urge any of the girls

friends who have any information to

contact their local Police Station where

    they can file a report.

It is vital that predatory sexual

offenders like David Roth are convicted

of their crimes. His celebrity status and

wealth should be no bar to justice.

The Sunday Gazette can exclusivelyreveal that David Roth, the co-Chairman

of Melchester Rovers has been having

secret hotel romps with a fifteen year-old

girl. Lucas, former boss of advertising

    giants Splendida, was snapped leaving

the swanky Parklands Hotel in CentralLondon on Friday night with his young

    companion, after what our sources

understand, the latest in a SERIES of

    sexual encounters between the two.

The girl, who cannot be named for

    legal reasons, attends an exclusive

Melchester public school and is a

    classmate of Roths own daughter

Melody. We understand that her parents

believed she was in London with Roth

and his family to attend the Premier

    League soccer match between Walford

Rovers and Roths Melchester and were

    totally unaware of Roths inappropriate

    liaisons with their daughter. They

declined to comment further at this time.

ALL SATURDAYS GOALS AND DRAMA INSIDE!David Roth was delighted, Lucas had fallen into the trap and published an entirely fictitious story. The plan had worked

perfectly, from the tip-off, the posing outside front doors of the hotel, to John Lucas unpredicted desperation for a

Sunday story. Joey Goldfield was a genius, everything was covered. The string of sexual misconduct allegations in the

press at the moment had almost removed the stigma from such charges. Roth would emerge with his reputation

enhanced. He would not sue Lucas ofThe Sunday Gazette, that would risk revealing the trick. But he would insist on afull retraction, John Lucas would never cross him again.

David sat in his suite at the Parklands Hotel with his daughter and her friend Alexia, who had agreed to play her part in

the scheme in exchange for a family cruise in the Caribbean. Her parents were more than happy to agree knowing that

the true story would leave their daughters reputation intact. Wow! What a story, I cant believe how easy that was. It

sure was handy that you came to Tuscany with us last summer and that Mel takes so many damn photos! Goldfield had

carefully selected photographs where David and Alexia appeared together, with no-one else in the frame. There was one

brilliant one, a selfie that the girl had shot with David in the background in his underpants looking sweaty.

Alexia had also spent the summer dog-sitting for the Roths while they took their second holiday in Tel Aviv. CCTV

images were leaked showing her leaving the Roth Estate at all sorts of odd hours. Alexia did, conveniently have a new

older boyfriend, but he was just seventeen, the messages on her Twitter and Facebook could be interpreted as the

reader wished. Those that might reveal anything not within their story were simply deleted. It may sound like a patchy

scheme, but knowing that no police investigation would take place beyond initial inquiries, meant Joey Goldfield only

needed to put together a short story. He did not expect John Lucas and his bosses at the Daily Gazette to jump in so

deeply and so quickly, just one week after the pictures were delivered to Lucas secretary, that was a bonus.

Roth could hear a commotion at the front doors of the hotel, the press and television crews were gathering. Time for

part two ladies! We all leave together as if nothing has happened.

There was collective shock as David, Melody and his lover Alexia made their exit through the heavy revolving doors.

The girls linked arms as David dragged two suitcases behind him, staying a yard or so back. A policeman told the

television crews to stop recording the girls, they could not feature in the media while an investigation took place. It was

the law. I didnt think a Melchester win commanded this much attention! Roth said jokingly, Any comment on the

story in todays Gazette, Mr Roth? David spun around to face a young female reporter, We played exceptionally well,

my dear, the first of many victories under Vernon Eliot! She thrust a copy of the Sunday paper into his hands, Whats

this nonsense? he roared, before beginning to laugh. He looked into a television camera that was recording again,

Youll hear from my lawyers Lucas. Who do you think you are? You petty little man!

    * * *

It was very quiet at the Melchester Rovers training ground. Vernon had given the players three days off. So many were

involved in the round of World Cup Qualifiers that holding a full scale training session with only half a dozen players

would not be beneficial. Instead Vernon would watch Roy Race and his young development squad train. He had not had

enough spare time to see them for himself this season, having to rely on reports from Roy. The great man was a superb

judge of a player, both good and bad. So his reports so far were a cause for concern to Vernon; Roy was not impressed

with any of his youngsters. The boys were going through fitness drills as Roy spotted the manager jogging across from

the clubhouse, Its not going well, Vernon. Too many of the lads have a bad attitude. Some even openly challenge my

instructions, even with the fitness exercises. Its not good, chum! Vernon was disgusted, if young footballers would not

respect Roy Race, probably the greatest ever footballer, who would they listen to?

By Phil HarrisChief football writer at the National Stadium in Warsaw

England secured a precious point from a mediocre World Cup qualifier in Poland toedge towards next summer's showpiece in Brazil.

Manager Richie Gunn will be delighted England have their fate in their own hands as they know victory intheir final two Wembley qualifiers against Northern Ireland and Ukraine in October will guarantee automaticqualification.

There was little else to enthuse about from a performance that did the job but could also be used as a primeexhibit to support new Football Association chairman Charlie Sutton's claim that England are not realisticcontenders to win the World Cup in 2014.

England's draw was built on the solid foundations set by a magnificent performance from Melchester Roversmidfielder Jake Cheetham, particularly in the early stages when they were riddled with uncertainty asPoland applied pressure.

Poland, however, suffered from a familiar failing of running out of steam following a bright start and, ultimately, England survived in relative comfort.

England's performances in the group stage have been undistinguished with their only victories comingagainst the minnows of Segovia and San Marino.

And this simple fact should serve as a warning against any complacency about those final two games thathold the key to their qualification.

England's travelling fans stayed behind in Warsaw's spectacular National Stadium while police clearedgangs of hooligans from the surrounding streets, as almost 50,000 Polish fans trooped away fearing theywill now be consigned to the play-offs.

As expected, Daniel Newton replaced the injured James Grayson and it was a landmark night for SteveRoyce as he won his 100th England cap.

In a predictably hostile atmosphere, England displayed early nerves andMelboro

goalkeeper Jack White, inparticular, came under stern examination from the hosts.

White, who has suffered criticism for his recent form for club and country, survived an early penalty appealwhen he slid out to meet Gregorz Bobryk, who fell under the challenge but referee Juan Portillo showed nointerest.

Gunn's side gave Poland anxious moments of their own as they forced a succession of early corners withGary Baker seeing one header deflected over and another swept off the line by Tomasz Janiec.

White caused more concern for England's defence, which relied so heavily on Baker early on, when hejuggled a loose ball unconvincingly but was finally able to clear.

The visitors were struggling to impose any authority in midfield, with Harry Shearer a particulardisappointment as too often he was shrugged off the ball and conceded possession easily.

Gunn's side had, however, resisted Poland's early pressure and captain Steve Royce was not far away with a

long-range effort that landed on top of the net with Eastgate goalkeeper Wicinski scrambling.

The second half was descending into a desperate affair and both managers made changes after 68 minutesin an attempt to inject some quality into proceedings.

Warren replaced Shearer, while Poland sent on Dawid Boutes for Radoslaw Wilczuk.

England had restricted Poland in the second half but Tony Walter's ill-advised foul on Hebda, for which hewas shown a yellow card, gave Lukasz Zyk an opportunity 20 yards out. The free-kick was on target buttook a crucial glance off Paul Porschewski and went inches wide.

Boutes then headed straight at White from a corner, a clear opportunity that left the giant Pole holding hishead in despair as play swept to the other end.

Cheetham had a late chance to give England a win only to steer his header wide - but Gunn will have beensatisfied with a point that will be crucial if his side can now complete the task at Wembley next month.
