The Imenco ROV Latches range from 0.5 to 12 tons WLL and are designed in accordance with “DNV Rules for Certification of Lifting Appliances”. The latches are made from 6082T6 aluminium and S165M stainless steel.
The latch and termination bullet are delivered as certified pairs to avoid any mismatch between the two. Termination bullets can be delivered whole or split to facilitate easy access of umbilical.
Where possible damage to the buoyancy blocks is a consideration, an optional “X-Y” gimbal bullet link is available. With this installed, the latch can mate down to an angle of 60˚ from the vertical to compensate for actual angle of the umbilical at time of latching. In addition, bullets can be custom made to suit any ROV lifting points, contact us for details.
The ROV Latch enables fast and easy attachment/detachment to the ROV cable by utilizing the unique “cable entering door” solution. The latching unit then attaches to its accompanying termination bullet by sliding on the umbilical cable.

Imenco ROV Standard Latches RangeThe Imenco ROV Latch Range is very well received by our customers and the feedback is excellent, with particular focus on the advantages these latches offer compared to other ROV launch/recovery systems. The Imenco ROV Latches are used worldwide in conjunction with Sub-Atlantic, Argus Remote Systems, Sperre Subfighter, Ocean Modules, ROV trenchers and other work ROV’s from most major manufacturers. They are also used for other launching/lifting applications where a messenger line and termination bullet can be attached.

The Imenco ROV Latches/bullets are designed to be small compact units which are easy to use while maintaining a high level of security.
The rapid umbilical installation processes, through the termination bullet engagement using the Imenco Latch, will ensure first time right operation saving your time. Once on deck, the Imenco Latch release mechanism will ensure the disengagement process is as seamless as the engagement.

The Rescue Latch is intended for use with ROV systems that utilize TMS systems by locking onto the existing TMS bullet. The latch can be designed to fit almost any existing ROV or TMS bullet.
If a failure occurs on the TMS, ROV recovery may be impossible using the TMS built-in latch. In such a scenario the Imenco Rescue Latch can recover the ROV without the need to send personnel into MOB boats or similar to “fish” for the ROV by soft straps or other means.
After the TMS is recovered, the Imenco Rescue latch is attached onto the tether cable and to the vessels handling crane. The Rescue Latch is then lowered down to the ROV until it locks onto the ROV’s bullet and the ROV can be securely recovered to the vessel deck..
The Latch cable door is opened to insert tether cable into the latch.
The Latch cable door is closed, latch lowered over the bullet until it is locked, indicated by lock flags.
The ROV can be hoisted onto ship's deck by crane.
