YOUR FIRST YEAR

Mastering the business of possible requires a solid

foundation. In your first year, Introduction to Economics

and a calculus and algebra course prepare you for

upper-year economics classes. Our unique Introduction

to Management (RSM100Y) introduces you to the

Canadian business landscape and the principal

functional disciplines of management. To these

three core courses, you have the freedom to add

two courses from the Faculty of Arts and Science.

At Rotman Commerce, a comprehensive

business education from the world-renowned

Rotman School of Management is matched

with a rich grounding in studies from U of T’s

famed Faculty of Arts and Science. This blended

curriculum gives you a solid academic base

upon which to build your career or to prepare

for postgraduate studies.

YEARS 2 TO 4: SPECIALIZATION

Build on your first year by choosing one of our

three specialist programs: accounting, finance

and economics, or management. Each provides

opportunities to develop your skills in business

writing, case analysis, presentation, and teamwork,

while ensuring you gain the knowledge and

expertise required to succeed in your specialization.

Our upper-level business courses have a maximum

enrolment of 55 students—and many are much

smaller—which allows you to make the most of your

commitment to learning with the personal attention

CPA designation to advance directly to the Capstone 1

module in the CPA Professional Education Program.
