Youth Exchange Program

D4620 R e p o r t

A Saturday to Remember

On October 19, 2013, a sunny Saturday in Spring, 43 youngsters took

their tests and interviews for Rotary´s Youth Exchange Program

District 4620, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.

More than 200 people gathered at Colégio Politécnico - Polytechnic

High School – one of our scholarship partners, for one common

goal: to change lives.

Also among those dedicated people there were 25 Inbound students

from overseas partner Districts who are in our region. Together

with our local Rotex they made a beautiful trade fair - pins and

souvenirs - and gave several presentations of their experiences in

foreign countries.

Another 30 YEP officials and Rotary members helped to create,

organize and apply tests and conduct interviews.

It was District 4620’s largest number of candidates so far. Some

traveled more than 400 km one way for the exams.

Four of those applications were full-scholarships given by the Dona

Palmira Foundation and our District´s Rotary Clubs. These awards

were given to students who come from families with lower

income but still have outstanding academic skills.

At the end of this report you can check their names, Rotary sponsors

and classification.

Here are some images of that meeting.
