Welcome back to the start of the second half of our Rotary year. I hope you all had a great Christmas and managed to spend time with family and friends. The year is starting off quite busily.

Sunday we will be joining Ken and Charmaine at their home for a BBQ lunch in lieu of our first meeting for the year. If you have not already advised Ken if you will be attending can you do so ASAP to assist him with planning.

For our first meeting on 19 January Sarah Hinton, Rydges Business Sales Executive, will be joining us to talk about a fundraising idea for the club with Rydges. Please make every effort to attend on the night as we will make a decision about participating that night so permits, etc. can be applied for.

Sunday 18 January sees our first night at the Two Up. Thank you to members who have indicated they can come along and assist on one of the four nights. We only need two members each night over the 4 weeks.

On 25 February we will be joined by the Rotary Clubs of Boulder and Hannans for a Premiere screening of The Second

Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Tickets are $25 each and include a small drink and popcorn. A great opportunity to get a group of friends or your work Social Club together for a fun night out. We are waiting for final confirmation of an opportunity with Rydges for the night as well. So start planning now. Maybe an early dinner or coffee and cake after the movie. The City have also approved us promoting the event at the Great Aussie Breakfast.

I am working on our calendar for the next couple of months so if you know of anyone who would be a good guest speaker please let me know so an approach can be made to them. Please send me contact phone number and email when you send the information through.

March 20, 2015 District Officers Training [DOTS] To be held in Albany in the lead

up to our District Conference. For District Chairs and all Assistant Governors.

March 20-22, 2015

District Conference – Albany This will be a great event in the year that

we celebrate the Gallipoli Centennial.

April 10-12, 2015 President Elect Training [PETS]

This will be held at The Sebel Hotel in Mandurah. For the first time we will be combining our

PETS program with District 9455. This will be held from Friday evening to Sunday lunch

time. Partners welcome. More detail to follow.

May 3, 2015 District Assembly – Metro
