MAYOR’S CHALLANGE FOR

WATER CONSERVATION

Roswell Mayor Jere Wood is challenging all Roswell residents to make a pledge to conserve

water! The Wyland Foundation is hosting the National Mayor’s Challenge for Water

Conservation throughout April. Cities across the country are competing to see who has

the most water-conscious citizens.

You can participate by going online at www.mywaterpledge.com to make your pledge. Once

you do, you’ll be entered to win some amazing prizes, such as a Toyota Prius or a Lowe’s

shopping spree! Winning cities will be chosen from six population categories.

Help us make Roswell a winning city!

2013 SHRED FEST EVENTS

Roswell residents may bring up to two copy paper-sized boxes of documents for shredding to the Roswell Recycling Center and watch them being shredded from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

If getting there during the week is a problem, we now have two Shred Fests scheduled for Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon (please note the reduced hours) on May 4th and November 9th.

The location of the events is again at our Public Works facility at 1810 Hembree Road.

Please contact the Recycling Center at [email protected] or 770.442.8822 for more information.

Shredding Tip When bringing documents to be shredded at the Recycling Center, the shredding time will be much shorter if you do a little preparation before arriving.

Please remove any metal larger than a staple, rubber bands, file folders, thick booklets, plastic cards, photographs and negatives. Also, please take checkbooks / deposit books out of the boxes before shredding.
